RUMOUR Bellamy - 10 Year Deal

Bellamy is a petulant child. The way he acts in the box is embarrassing. He’s fucked the Broncos over in every single way possible and people dislike him for many reasons. If he came to the Broncos I still wouldn’t like him, but I’d accept that he was here because I very rarely like everyone at the club anyway.

In saying that, after believing he was on his way 3 times already, why is this one different? He’s not coming, Fox isn’t leaving either, Smith will just retire, they’ll keep Grant and B.Smith and nothing will change. Why would we trust anything that comes from that club?
Personally I don't see how Fox isn't leaving. Melbourne are far too smart to overpay a Winger when they have a production line of talent like theirs.

For 2021, they won’t have to pay him more. Then they’ll just replace him with a Queenslander that we should have signed already. Certainly won’t find themselves a Victorian player

People on here have very strong opinions in the main, and there's no backflipping, or very little.
I cannot stand Bellamy and I hate the way he plays (coaches) the game. Win at all costs. The Storm cheat to win, because that's the way he leads. He has no honour and no integrity.
If Bellamy comes to Brisbane I will not change my opinion of him, and I will continue to hate what he stands for.
I will, however, hope the Broncos win because they are my team and I want them to be successful, no matter who the coach is, no matter who the coaching director is, no matter who is on the Board - that is what supporters do. That's not backflipping.
Can I ask, what is the point of your post?
Re read what you just posted 🙄

Yeah but it wont be hard to find a club happy to overpay for the Fox and at that point Melbourne would probably do the smart thing and just clear the cap space.

You sound a tad disappointed.

Knocking us back again.
I’d say I’m more in disbelief that anyone thinks it would actually happen. Like, the words that I wrote didn’t really sound that disappointed did they? I said I’d accept it but don’t believe anything that comes from that club.

As much as I, like many others, will feel like cursing Bellamy if he doesn't agree to come on board this time, I reckon it's a bit unfair to say he's 'screwed us again' or whatever.. Brisbane has gone after him numerous times, not the other way around.. Sure a couple of those approaches played out over a few months before a decision was reached, but I think in each of those occasions Bellamy was genuinely mulling it over.
I imagine he would have fairly strong affection for the Broncos given the opportunities he had here from 1998 to 2002 and the prospect of coming here to coach would be hugely appealing. But on the other hand, the bond he's built with the Storm would be absolutely enormous.
So even a decision to join the Broncos as a football director or whatever, would be seriously difficult for him to agree to given the length of time he's had with Melbourne and where he's taken them ect.

Nah, our previous administration, which was arguably worse than the current one somehow, managed to offend him. I doubt he feels any love or desire to help this basketcase of a club.

No but he might want to help himself. Without doubt he would be aware of all and sundry screwing us over and no one being held accountable.
Could well be a nice little retirement earner without the stress.

helping himself would be staying with the Storm ... Tripp has already said they match any offer we make him, plus he'll get to live in QLD and work remotely; plus he won't have too much to do since he has already done the work.

**** sake??? Have you even tasted the Japanese alcohol?

it’s one of the best and more flavourful rice wines on there is, despite what main stream media will have you believe !
The Japanese pronounce it "sah kay" or "sakee", so **** sah kay is the Japanese version of the English **** sake, so technically he is correct

So here I am trying to give him some encouragement and you come along and pull the rug from under his feet. Lol.
But in all honesty, I do agree with you and @Sproj he is all set down their and why would he come to a basket case that is our current shit show other than money and the challenge. As you say they will match the money and I doubt he needs the challenge. Oh well over to you Kevin.

first of all, that was my plan

second i completely disagree with you about us being a basket case ... it may be the media narrative (because they love the clicks that our failure brings), that many so called fans have adopted, for some reason

When you win the spoon everybody is entitled to call you a basket case. Nothing to do with the media loving clicks, we created all of this and we own it until we prove ourselves all over again. That brings me back to Bellamy.......

Claiming our wooden spoon was a 'good' one is like one batsman telling another one my duck was better than your duck.
