OFFICIAL Bellamy extends contract with Melbourne Storm

Bellamy to be on fox on thursday night for what seems will be a regular gig commenting giving his tactical insights into a game. My guess (as good as a journalists “inside scoop”) is that this is a sign he will stay with the storm. The timing of it just smells very fishy to me...

The more this goes on, the more it seems obvious bellamy was just playing games in regards to signing with us. From all reports a nice guy but the bloke would sell his grandma for a win, never mind what he would do for an extra million $...
 
From what I've heard, Bellamy has been offered Smiths Fox contract now that he won't be allowed to work there. That's why Smith showed up on Nine during the Origin.

Why couldn't he be allowed to work on fox?

Would it be a conflict of interest with his "head of referees" job? [emoji6][emoji6]

Who me? I don't have a dog in the fight, an agenda or a vested interest. The only thing I want is what is best for the Broncos. In my view, if we can replace Bennett with Bellamy, that is probably the best thing for the club simply based on the fact that Bellamy has a longer potential coaching future compared to Bennett. I rate, and have always rated Bennett as one of the best coaches I have seen. Bellamy's record speaks for itself he is also a good coach.

I just don't want to see the club stuff up the succession plan again like they have in the past. I would be equally happy, if not prefer someone like Ivan Cleary who I regard as being a great coach who has been somewhat underrated in the past.
