BHQ Gambling Association

Re: BHQ Gambling Association - DO NOT LINK TO BETTING WEBSITES

Harry: Tips for next stage are Michael Rogers ($13), Geraint Thomas ($26) and Tony Martin ($41). Rogers is a bit of a patriotic bet but have really been itching to back him for this stage for about 3-4 days now. Honestly don't know if the value is that good but I'd cut myself if he won and I weren't on. I'd back Rogers win only and if going e/w maybe Thomas is the better option for that.

Cheers for the tip

On the footy, a golden point game is definitely getting closer. Thought we'd get one the other night in the Broncs game for sure. Bar the game the other night against the Tigers, I think I'll be backing a game the Dogs are involved in.

Mick Rogers in the break of the day. Hopefully he can deliver! Kwiatkowski, Bakelandts, Serpa and Gautier the men to fear.

Re: BHQ Gambling Association - DO NOT LINK TO BETTING WEBSITES

Well at least I don't have to cut myself! Not the odds I was hoping for but probably shouldn't complain.

Loved the fact Mick literally took a bow to celebrate!

Re: BHQ Gambling Association - DO NOT LINK TO BETTING WEBSITES

Cheers for the $$$ @Ari Gold!!!!

It's about time I tipped something. I've been shocking since Tony Martin's win. Henrik Stenson was just outright embarrassing!

Lol, ever since that win I've been tempted to tip Martin. He's out to $126 again. Today isn't a rest day is it?

Re: BHQ Gambling Association - DO NOT LINK TO BETTING WEBSITES

Today is not a rest day and Tony Martin won't win today. I don't think I'd back him if he were $1260.

I'd be exceptionally surprised if the stage is won by anyone other than Nibali ($4.50), Majka ($5) or Pinot ($7). I suppose you could bet on all 3 and likely made a return but that kinda thing isn't really my go. Not really a betting stage IMO. Nibali probably the most likely to win but Pinot probably the better value. Still, I don't live for betting on single figures in cycling.

Re: BHQ Gambling Association - DO NOT LINK TO BETTING WEBSITES

Tonight is a stage Nibali is likely to win but the market IMO has him too big a favourite and there are some very capable outsiders at odds.

Chris Horner $40
Leopold Konig $55
Laurens Ten Dam $140

and if you're feeling extra adventurous, both Arnold Jeanneson ($500) and Haimar Zubelida ($360) are way too big. They are still about a 1 in 100 chance mind you!

Re: BHQ Gambling Association - DO NOT LINK TO BETTING WEBSITES

Nibali very skinny tonight @ $2.75 lol. Any value in Pinot ($13) or Majka ($6) again?

Edit: As I'm typing lol

Re: BHQ Gambling Association - DO NOT LINK TO BETTING WEBSITES

Hey Gents.

Nibali is only 31 points behind Majka in the KOM tally going into a stage that is perfect for Nibbles to prove himself and also place this tour as a tour he won rather than one that Froome and Contador lost.

Bet365 (no link) still have a market open for Nibali to win KOM paying $5. Majka is paying 1.40 odd and Rodrigues is next but he's a shot duck. He showed that last night.

This is where the money is if you ask me. Nibbles will likely win the stage and Majka put it all on the line last night to attempt to get an outright lead and Vincenzo stayed on his wheel and only finished a position behind him. I am not sure Raphael has it in him to do it again. But Nibali is a machine. And the best climber in the race by a mile.

Anyway.. That's my contribution.. I've loaded up $100 on it..

Goodluck..

Re: BHQ Gambling Association - DO NOT LINK TO BETTING WEBSITES

You get 50 points for winning the stage but you also get 25 points if you cross the Col du Tormalet in first place. If Majka goes in the break, summits Tormalet in first place and Nibali scores nothing because the break mops up the rest of the points, then it will be impossible for Nibali to win King of the Mountains, even if he does win the stage and Majka scores nothing on the final climb.

I expect Majka to look for the break and attempt to win the 25pts on the Tormalet. If he does that the jersey can only be lost by way of him crashing out or returning a positive test.

Re: BHQ Gambling Association - DO NOT LINK TO BETTING WEBSITES

Do think Majka has the legs to back it up? I think Nibali will go all out. 4th stage win. Silence those saying he has been gifted a tour.

Obviously it's gambling, and anything can happen, but I'm willing to take my chances. I think Nibali winning the polka dot, the tour and 4 stages is enough to prove those wrong that doubt he could have done it with the others in the race. I think this is his moment.

But that's what I'm gambling on afterall.

Re: BHQ Gambling Association - DO NOT LINK TO BETTING WEBSITES

I don't think Majka has the legs to win the stage but he doesn't need to have good legs to win the points on Tormalet. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see Nibali win the stage (though I maintain he's too short) but I'd be surprised if ended up winning King of the Mountains.

But these stages can turn out very strange indeed. You could have got any odds on Andrew Talansky winning the Dauphine before the final mountain stage and look at the chaos that ensued. As you say, it is gambling after all. Would be happy to see Nibali win KoM as I really dislike Majka!

Re: BHQ Gambling Association - DO NOT LINK TO BETTING WEBSITES

Tossed a $10 on Nibali to win the stage and $1 each on your exotics Ari.

Might throw a sneaky $5 on Nibbles to win KOM. Centre still has him @ $6

I'm a high roller that's for sure.

Got a gut feeling about Maj on this stage though. 2 stages in a row is a big ask though I'd think.
