But in the context it can be the reason why they prefer them(and see them as the better player not just because they are a player who plays for their club as being accused) because of the style they play and what they provide overall, there are areas in Slater's game that I wish Hunt had but if I was a Storm supporter there would also be a number of areas that I wish he possessed, out of the two I prefer Hunt, not because his a Bronco player but because of what he provides to a side and the consistency he has. Theres no doubt Slater had an outstanding season, better then Hunt's? Definitely not in question, but I wouldn't trade Hunt for him and thats my opinion, I don't think that makes me or others biased for having an opinion that differs from yours just because on the surface its a player who represents your club.

Sorry to hijack a thread for a second, but this has got me slightly confused. As a forum we discuss football and football players. People have their opinions and others have theirs. Now, 9/10 times when the debate involves a Storm player, I am up against the vast majority of the forum. Such is life; however I don't understand these two posts, in the context of this thread (and the forum as a whole).

I don't honestly think you could speak down to people who think that Hunt is a better fullback than Slater.

I haven't "spoke down" to anyone and all people are biased in their opinions, myself included. If you read the thread through, it seems to say these things to a single poster seems hypocritical of the thread (and forum) as a whole.

Whats hard to not understand about that Hammo? I see accusations from people on here that if someone suggests a player is better then another player who just happen's to be a Broncos player that they are automatically biased(in some instances it can be true, but it doesn't make it always true or the frequency its suggested as being), Ignoring the fact(which IMO is pretty biased towards making your point) in this instance that I said I rated Slater highly, he possessed area's in his game that I wish Hunt possessed and had an outstanding season, better then Hunt's and not in question that it was. On the other side of the coin You claim that you have tried to get people to recognise Storm players who possessed superior skills and it won't happen on a Broncos forum, yet in this very thread I have just said that Slater possesses skills that I wish Hunt had, I find that a contradiction frankly(not the only one either, theres also the claims of no recognition of Slater's superior season to Hunt's when there is) that it won't happen in a Broncos forum and it does.

I have no problems admitting I can be biased(anyone who claims they aren't are the worst offenders IMO), hell I have a strong dislike for the Storm but that doesn't mean I'm automatically biased on a subject and that includes the Broncos.

What I was getting at is that both arguements mirror each other. Slater>Hunt's claim the majority of BHQ is biased, then many Hunt>Slater's claim that the others are Bronco basher's or biased against Broncos.

I just thought it was strange that I was quoted in both incidents, because you both clearly didn't understand my opinion on the matter.

The thing is Hammo, whether you're right or not is a different matter IMO. It's the fact that you and others always say that you'll never find that BHQ agrees just because it is involving a Broncos player. Putting aside who is better out of Karmichael Hunt or Billy Slater, these are the quotes that shit me:

How have I talked anyone down with this post? Please enlighten me. I merely suggest that some people on these forums (didn't say who or how many) claim Broncos players as far superior to players whom are widely regarded as better by everyone except Broncos supporters. If your going to grandstand at least make sense doing it.

Yes I am aware this is a Broncos forum but I don't subscribe to the theory that all our players are awesome and can do no wrong. I don't see myself as biased in the other direction people like yourself Jeba only acknowledge my posts when you deem them negative, never touching on the ones where I praise Broncos players for their performances. I have a lot of posts on here and on the old forum I challenge you to find examples of where I have openly bagged a player without reasoning (unless stirring Alec).

I'm not saying your bag without reason, I am saying that while some Broncos supporters are biased towards the Broncos, there are Broncos supporters that are biased against the Broncos. You are the latter, and I strongly get the sense of arrogance coming from it. Probably not the way it is intended, fair enough. But that's just the impression that I get. Hunt is better, how long has hunt been considered among the top 2-3 fullbacks if not THE best fullback in the game?? longer than slater and he made it big way before slater and big doesn't mean one or two rep games it means being first choice fullback for your country for a few years straight while only being so young.
