What role should Billy Walters play?

I like how you try at every chance to distance any sort of credit to Billy as a footballer. It's cool, ineffective, but cool.

Since you want to bring that argument, you must also accept when he was "hot garbage" as you so eloquently put it, so was the rest of the team. You want your cake, eat it.
Yes and every play started with him. Very important position his father shoehorned him into. 1 good year out of 5 though…..worth it.

Helped us get to two GFs, cut it however you wish, this fact doesn't lie. He's called The Difference for a reason.

I would love

Pretty sure his dad’s friends gave him that name……last year, it’s not like he was always known as that. I would love to have a read of those player reviews that got his old man the sack.

Release the files!

Its ok my man, we all get it wrong at times, its ok to admit it and move on.

For all the Billy haters. We're at least 4 points / 2 wins better off this season if he's fit.
I read this and was going to say, "all" of them? By my count there's about 2, and you won't convince them of your argument.

But then I kept reading and saw I was too late LOL

I wish there was a video of Kevvie losing his shit, when told about the player reviews etc.

We won the comp.

Your argument ends here.
Not the greatest argument mate. You do realise he wasn’t in the team right? I’ve never said he didn’t play well last year, when he was getting less minutes and coming off the bench against a tired opposition. It’s his first 4 years here I have an issue with.

Wasn’t in the team?

We don’t make it there without him.

You probably flicked the channel and went to watch re-runs of mash or some shit when they called him up to lift the trophy. It doesn’t matter what you have an issue with, part of development is going through the hard times, that’s how you grow, as a person, a player, whatever it is.

Your issue is with Kevin Walters, not Billy. This is a discussion about Billy. You’re just too spiteful to want to talk about anything other than Kev because you were wrong about Billy. Your negativitiy towards Kev clouded your judgment. That’s okay, you are allowed to be wrong.

In a way you are right, it’s not his fault his dad picked him. But spoiled brats do shit me to tears. Anyway anybody that criticised his dad isn’t even a real fan…..which makes most of this forum

Subjective. Smoothy went better than alright in his absence, the guy is just lucky he got into the 17 to start the season when everything else pointed to Mozer being there til he did his shoulder. I mean kevvie’s plan was to sack paix which he already had form for doing to anyone that came close to going alright and was in competition for his spot.

Not sure he is. He certainly wouldn't be playing 80 minutes there.

Billy looked better at 6. The whole team looked better with him at 6.
Billy is 100% my pick for starting 6. The best we have played under madge was with Billy at 6. Probably a big call but, he doesnt miss 11 tackles a game, has a killer step and straightens our attack.

Not sure about that. He certainly had a good trot there at the end of last season and the team never looked better than with him at 6 and Hunt at 7, but the bulk of the lifting was done by Walsh. Hunt was pretty damn ordinary at 6, and neither looked better than adequate at 9. I suspect those games might end up being the highlight of Billy's career reel. And nothing wrong with that: they got us to a Premiership.

Something else flew under the radar in those games when Reynolds was out, Carrigan took over. For some reason, we seem to go better when only one of them is on the field.

He helped build a solid foundation for Broncos to be able to go on and lift the trophy. He stood up when we needed him most. He played such a massive role, just as every other of his teammates did. When he helped to lift the trophy .. I don’t know any Broncos fan who believes it was not a fully deserved moment.

Definition of an iconic moment.

Stop overthinking it, Billy 🤗🥰

It was well earned 💪
