The rumours were that Bennett lost control of the cheque book back in the Bruno days. When he returned, apparently he was given the book again to make offers to players. I'm sure he's not the final say, but to suggest a coach can't offer money is just silly.

Surely every coach has big input on who they want and don't want on their roster.
