Boyd to play on.

The lack of time to appropriately reflect on what's just happened here can only lead to making bad decisions.

Good leaders give themselves time to review things properly in the full context of the situation and not within moments of handing in the worst result in history in their field.

Wayne has tapped far better players than Boyd on the shoulders over the years. If he's true to his values then you'd expect he would be prepared to do the same for Darius.
Which he isn't. He's loving the dumpster fire the Broncos are in

And it's all mostly his doing

It really doesn't matter what Boyd says, the decision will (should) be Seibold's whether Boyd plays next year.

This loss could be a blessing in disguise for Seibs, not many would question him making some wholesale changes, even dropping the current captain. Will he do it is the question...
He absolutely will. He's got the balls and tried to midway through the season

So please tell what he's implying then when he says because of mental health issues "somebody will probably take their own life". He's the only with mental health issues in the Broncos and he said the same thing a few weeks ago when addressing the enormous outrage about his poor performances.

He's implying that other players could probably take their own life over the relentless criticism. He's talking about other players. Not himself because like he says, he doesn't listen to the criticism and he has a good support group.

But other players, mainly younger players, may not have that and may not be able to switch off the criticism and would take their own life as a result, which has happened before.

He isn't making "veiled threats that he will kill himself" and at NO POINT does he use that as an excuse for his form. Not even close.

By the way, how do you know no one else at the club has any mental health issues? It's not like they publish a list each season to say which players are suffering from it. Besides, it's not like people currently not suffering from any mental health issues can't develop mental health issues.

He's made very valid points about a very real issue in the NRL and all anyone can do is bag him stating he's using it as an excuse for his poor form, his threatening to kill himself if people don't stop being mean to him, he's being a baby and quite honestly it's fucking disgusting and the kind of thing I would expect from a shithole like LU.

OK if he's not talking about himself who is he talking about? So if he doesn't read or listen to what's being said on social media why has he twice come out with the mental health card immediately after being criticised for well below average performances? None of the other Broncos are being panned like him. In fact most of the young guns are being praised so it can't be them either.

There is no doubt who he was referring to and I think it's pretty alarming that he has done it twice in as many months. You might be referring to someone else but I've never called him a baby so I'm not sure why you're mentioning that. And I'd much prefer if you'd stick to the argument and leave out the ad hominem. You do know people get banned for that on here right?

To think Corey Parker who was only on $280,000 at the time (as quoted by him in his autobiography) was tapped on the shoulder even though he was still playing at a decent level.

And on the other hand here we have a rapidly declining Darius on somewhere between $600-$700k playing career worst football destroying our spine and salary cap offering almost zero on the field with 2 fucking years still left and he still bleats on how he wants to keep playing on? What an absolute fucking farce

I love how Darius apparently doesn’t listen to the criticism but somehow knows how much he is being criticised in the media. So much so that he even had his missus try and stick up for him. It is disgusting that he is a Broncos captain.

It’ll take a monumental effort for someone to take Darius’ mantle as the worst Broncos captain in club history.

Obviously Boyd is mentally ill...that's sad but can we afford to have a totally delusional and out of touch person as Captain of our club. He has been 'Ill' for the last couple of seasons and need to go seek some professional help... and take the other deluded one MCC with him. They are both just hanging for the dollars.. it's a disgrace.
