Staggs, Turps, Hass, Fifita, Lodge, TPJ etc were all brought to the club by Wayne. Just because they didn't follow him to Souths doesn't make them one of Seib's boys. There is a salary cap and the total hassle of moving cities. I don't think any of these guys have any doubt on who is the better coach and these two won't even be mentioned in the same breath twenty years down the track. You Seibs fanboys always come up with the same brainless arguments. I'll be a Seibs fanboy as well if he wins us a title. At the moment, he hasn't shown me shit.
Not sure if its about being a Seibs fanboy, probably more so supporting the club tbh.
I can see the direction in which we are heading and I think that we are on the right path. Still some big decisions and improvements that need to be made no doubts there but, I think we will get there over the next couple of seasons.
As to your point about the playing roster, we forever hear about players falling out with the club hierarchy or coach. We know how quickly everything in rugby league travels, the media would have been in overdrive had these players not wanted to play under their new coach. Lodge, TPJ, Carrigan, Turps, Dearden, Oates all had the opportunity to leave the club. There were monster dollars being talked (whether true or not,) for TPJ, Lodge, Dearden and Turps - these players would not have stayed had they not been happy, especially TPJ and Lodge who originally aren't even from QLD.
So you won't support the coach of the club you support until he delivers you a premiership? Thats upto you, and I respect that.
WB hadn't give us anything since 2006, so under your way of thinking - obviously rule out the years he wasn't at the Broncos, but in his second stint at club he showed you nothing (going on how you are marking Seibold.)
I tend to think there is a lot more to a coaching role than just winning or loosing a premiership, but that's just my opinion.
Everyones got their thoughts on the Wayne/Seibold debate, but I'm not getting into it here.
