It wasn't about the money. Bennett wanted him.

Gagai stayed because he feels he owes the Knights for giving him a chance when no one else wanted him.

The part we're laughing at is the Dane Gagai (Who was given an opportunity to leave the Knights and come here for 2017, but decided to stay) & Jarrod Mullen (Who is about as likely to join the Broncos as Paul Gallen)

They both have to sign for you to win the bet, not just be talked about. Gagai has been umming and ahhing for years about returning, and Sims, well, who really cares.
