NEWS Brisbane Broncos could lose David Fifita to mega deal

This is the same shit they always do. They had Pearce, Keary and Cronk all on the books at the same time and it was ok with the NRL. Then Pearce spat the dummy and they had a free million to spend spend spend. If the Broncos can't keep Fifita and either souths or easts can then the game is done as a legitimate comp.

I will always love and watch the Broncos but i am quickly becoming a hater of the game. The NRL is corrupt, its obvious. The media has to much influence, the cap is not real and there is obvious manipulation in judiciary/onfield decision making.

I haven’t been a fan of the NRL on a long time, cannot bring myself to watch any games not involving the Broncos. The inherent corruption, amateurism and stupidity is too maddening to be healthy.

What 5 year million dollar contracts for all 3?? Lmfao

4 years / $5m for Jake & Tom
4 years / $4m for Fifita

Do they understand how the salary cap works?..

Bulldogs coach Dean Pay told NRL 360 earlier this year the club needed to sit back and bide its time before making a major play for some big-name recruits.
Fox Sports has been told Tom Trbojevic will be offered a deal worth around the $1.4 million per season mark while brother Jake will be offered around $1.1 million.
When Fox Sports asked Bulldogs CEO Andrew Hill if the club still planned to target the Trobjevic brothers, he replied: “We will monitor the situation”.

The Bulldogs made contact with the Trobjevic brothers’ agent, Paul Sutton, in August to set up a meeting but the club was told the Sea Eagles siblings were not interested in leaving Manly.
Irrespective, the Bulldogs plan to again pursue the negotiations as the November 1 deadline looms for rival clubs to register contracts for 2021.
Canterbury-Bankstown and the Sea Eagles have a volatile recent history in terms of contract negotiations, with the Bulldogs famously enticing coach Des Hasler to leave Manly in 2012 after guiding the Sea Eagles to a premiership.

Hasler then steered Canterbury-Bankstown to two grand finals in 2012 and 2014 before being sacked by the club at the end of the 2016 season.
The two-time premiership-winning coach then successfully sued the Bulldogs for a figure believed to be more than $1 million after the club had earlier agreed to give him a two-year extension for 2017 and 2018.

The Bulldogs will also join the likes of the Roosters, Rabbitohs and Warriors in attempting to land the prized signature of Broncos young gun Fifita.
And don’t discount Canterbury-Bankstown still being interested in signing Roosters and Kangaroos centre Latrell Mitchell.
The Bulldogs made an approach to Mitchell through a third-party midway through the year and floated the possibility of a 10-year-deal to switch to Belmore.
A five-year deal was also discussed with the offer believed to be valued at more than $1 million per season.

That's a lot of money for the Trobjevic brothers.

That article is absolute guff. No chance the Dogs will be able to justify that to the NRL on salary cap terms. At the very least they would need to let Foran go or be forced to upgrade his deal to something close to what he is actually worth as a player.

There's a big difference in quality between Manly and the rorters. Turbo can break games open with nobodies around him and single handily win games.

Is there a big difference? I dunno, I feel like they're relatively similar through the middle, which is where both Teddy & Turbo feast. Roosters have them comfortably covered in the outside back department.

So if this article is to be believed, and the Bulldogs are able to sign the turbo bros, Fifita and Mitchell ... That will be nearly half their salary cap on 4 players ...

I guess they haven't learnt shit ...

Is there an all time lack of quotes in NRL articles? They don’t even bother with the unnamed source or player manager anymore..

So now James Hooper is speculating on foxsports website that Latrell Mitchell will be forced out of the Roosters if they sign Fifita as speculated. So that's a rumour on top of a rumour. He gets paid to make this shit up?

This is just one of those too many pigs at the trough situations where the Journos are putting as many bullshit articles out as possible before the holidays begin for some last minute clicks.

As an experiment, it’s tempting to assume a pseudonym a la The Mole, Reading The Play etc and just make up the most outlandish shit constantly and just see how quickly you can get a paid gig somewhere.
