Broncos could struggle to keep Gillett

View attachment 886 take note morkel you moron.

Apologies sir. I did not understand that an article posted one year ago held more weight than what the newly appointed CEO said no more than a week ago. When you see Greenturd on Facebook next, can you please tell him that he is wrong?

Politics is a funny game. Where are they now? Even Prime Ministers say the opposition is full of shit.

They aren't saying anything because there isn't anything to say.

Whereas you read an article and all of a sudden you have the inside word.

Not entirely sure why it annoys me so much, but it's really tiresome.

Yeah but as my post said (and I honestly don't think it was clear so sorry about that, my bad), is that there was absolutely nothing in there from the NRL itself that even implied that they were considering it. Plus, that article is 9 months old, I imagine Greenburg's more recent comments would probably carry more weight?

Well........ while I have no inside info I'm sort of with Daniel on this one.

I think Wayne wants to retain Parker for another yeah and Corey wants to go around another year but ultimately I think the deciding factor will be if the funds are available, I don't think Wayne will be paying good to keep Parker at the expense of losing Gillett

The reason Parker has taken on a manager this time is because Wayne is not prepared to pay the dollars for his final year, Corey will need his manager to organise TPA's to fill the gap.........or alternatively retire.

I think Gillett will get the upgrade but will accept less dollars than somewhere else to stay in Brisbane.

I don't disagree with your theory but disagree with the reasoning behind Parker getting a manager. I believe it is more to do with him organizing commercial opportunities after football which would be more difficult for Parker to do himself.

2018 yea mate from 7.2 mill to 11 to 12mill. Almost 5mill raise with the new TV rights. Also in June/July is when the West Coast Pirates are getting the go ahead to enter the NRL. This was supposed to be in time for 2018.

That's not right, it's 7 million next year and no decision has been reached on the increase from 2018. Plenty of debate if it should go into the cap or the grant.

QRL don't want either of those.

Add to Gillett off contract there is 3 others in the 17 also off contract. Parker, Wallace and Kodi.

Broncos haven't got anyone past 2017. Nothing has been done about the cap yet and they don't want clauses increasing pay. 150 players are said to be off contract end of next year comp wide.

respectively agree in principle with you both.. very few 'facts' DD presents are wrong, hard to dispute.. but suffice to say the greater vitriol results from borderline conspiracy theor-esque hypotheses/pseudo-theories which are only funny on occasion - much like my attempts at humour. repetiveness kinda kills it...

If the fucking rorters sign Gillet on 700k+ with their current pool of players then I'll be giving up watching league outside of the Broncos.

What? Why wouldn't the Roosters have that much cap room? Have you seen the list of players they've lost over the last 2 seasons?

We will take Gillett off your hands, guys. Clean swap for Gal of Lewis. Tell him he can have 600k and exclusive access to Mellors wife

Their excuse for having a ridiculously stacked side in 2013 was that players like Napa weren't on big coin. Blokes like Pearce, Tupou, fergie, jwh, Guerra, Hastings, Napa, Moa, etc would all have to be on decent cash after being freshly re-signed.
