There have been plenty of teams over the years that have made much more improvement in a single season after a very poor season the year prior.

Cowboys for example... Panthers another one. Bulldogs, Sharks, the list goes on.

It's just not a good excuse. It's what people say to make them feel better.

My gut feeling is that the Parramatta win came too easy, we definitely had some luck in that game. Maybe the players and fans thought we were worthy of a top 4 spot based on that result alone.

Also I am not sure which Sharks team you are talking about, they finished 9th last season and only missed on F/A. Finishing 8th or 9th isn't a great season but it's not a complete car crash either. We've had a few car crash seasons recently, in consecutive years. I don't get why you can't accept it's a big step in the right direction.

For us it wasn't a case of changing playing personnel, it was the football department, the CEO. The cap is/was in all sorts, it was a disaster in every way possible. It doesn't just magically happen in 1 year. The Bulldogs and Cows teams you are talking about probably didn't need to revamp their entire organisation. A bit of perspective in required here, it's not that hard to fathom and once you can do that, you'll understand why it's been a successful year.

I would expect next year to be better again, in terms of results. If it's not, then I will be asking a few questions.

You’d have to think something has happened behind close doors. The team was buzzing, playing got each other and happy. Then something changed, now they look like they can’t stand each other again. I think we’ll be a happier team once we see the back of Haas, I honestly do. I reckon it’s him that’s rotted this horse.

Gamble asking for a release, and it being granted, is a puzzling one. He still has a year to run and massive goodwill with fans from his 100% win record this season. Start of the season, yes, I thought he was surplus to needs, but since he replaced Billy at 6 in Round 7, he's been one of our MVPs. That was the start of our surge.

Maybe he's pissed off he's been put behind Ezra and not being picked because of his injury, despite the doctors clearing him. He has a decent ego on him and rates himself, but that's no bad thing.

If the club doesn't have something seriously surprising up its sleeve and/or he's been put behind Billy Walters in the halves queue, it's a big **** you from me.

More to the point, since the parra game, every other team in the top 8 have gone up one or two gears except one , who has gone into reverse.

The club has to examine why that occurred and address the issues causing it whether they be team or coaching related.

Calm the farm, usually after a huge margin loss like that in the NRL teams will do some soul searching and bounce right back for a win next game 9 times out of 10.
Canberra needs to win all 3 games (doable) plus cover the 50point margin and Broncos have to lose the next 2 games against Parra, Dragons. I don't see that happening.
Come finals time Broncos will be a stronger side with a few injured players coming back (herbi, carrigan, Gamble) and hopefully Kev gets his shit together, picks and sticks with a winning team roster.

Raiders down by 14 a halftime. Looks like we make the 8 🤣

I don’t mean it as though we have made the 8. I mean it as though at this stage it looks like we have. Of course the raiders can still win being 14 down at halftime

No they don't. If Raiders win all 3 games and we lose our last 2, the for and againt doesn't matter as they will be 2 points above us.

Yeah I thought we were 6 above the raiders but after they win today we are only 2 above them and they have an easy draw
