FTR, we will finish with a winning record for the first time since 2018

a win next week will put us on 14 wins and 30 points ... which would have qualified us for every finals series in the NRL era (25 years) except two (both 1999 & 2018 required 32 points) .

lucky for the club, DD and Ikin are smarter than BHQ and won't over-react

if we missed out, fighting well, I'd say you may have a point.

The losses we've had in the last 5 weeks are nothing short of the worst defense we've seen from this club since the lowest period in 2020. Ignoring that is dragging a rug over a dog turd.

I wouldn't worry about @Foordy's opinion, he is the chief apologist for the club, management and coaching staff. Basically if they fed him shit on toast for six weeks he would be lining up for seconds for six months and telling everyone it tastes better than what a michelin chef would dish up.

Missing the finals is still missing the finals, it'd be sad for the club to try and to spin it that way.

There are no two ways about it, the last month has been the most concerning period since Seibold. If it was just honourable losses, you'd be disappointed but excited for next year.

Unfortunately, the losses are diabolical and insight fear and nervousness to try and figure out what comes next.

The biggest concern is that last year we finished strong and built on that momentum. Missing the finals and ending the season with this show must be extremely demoralising.

correct.

but quite honest we're rebuilding. and doubling our win tally from the previous year(if we beat the dragons next week) is significant improvements.

it takes time to return to premiership heavyweight status.

For mine, there is a difference between just missing the finals and coming 15/16th. I also not a pessimist and am OK with the club identifying the positives they've achieved.

It’s been a good season, right now everyone’s over reacting a bit, wanting to sack every living thing at the club, it’s not rational or anything but hey, that’s what happens when you get behind a team that has only ever won premierships. It’s the mindset of someone supporting a team like Barcelona or something, sack them all and replace them, they’re in all sorts of debt, by the way.

The smart people of the club will identify that this season has been a good step in the right direction, the 50 point floggings aren’t acceptable but it’s a true reminder to all of those who thought we were over that hill, we’re not.

I think there is overreacting, which is occurring with some, and there is under-reacting which is also occurring. There are flaws that were obvious at the start of the season that are still obvious now. The club needs to identify who’s job it was to improve those areas and either replace or further assist those people.

The club, coach, and captain all said making the 8 was the minimum so they need to hold those responsible accountable.
