...is Michael Ennis, according to this week's Big League, which features a special on each club's most improved.

Personally, I think Ennis has improved a great deal this season, but that has far more to do with the fact he has shrugged off his injury woes and has played far more this year than in the past two seasons. He showed glimpses of brilliance at the Dragons and with us last year, but I wouldn't go so far as saying he's our most improved player.

IMO that honour really does have to go to Darius Boyd. He still isn't one of the best wingers in the game, but I think everything from his defensive positioning to finishing ability has improve three-fold on what he was offering in the past two years. He's gone from a fairly mediocre first grader with a big question mark over his future to a really solid player, and a given in the starting side each week.

So, who do you think has been our most improved in '08?

Boyd by a country mile, probably followed by Kemp and Wallace. Also Beastwood on his form over the last 2 months would get an honourable mention from me.

Yea Boyd has been great this year, I hope we can hold onto him.

I would go Kemp then Boyd. Boyd has been on the improve since he started, he's had his weaknesses and worked on them. One strength as Mick said is his positioning in D also his backup and draw and pass, 2 underated abilities IMO. I can't beleive how many tries get butchered every week because players can't draw and pass.

Kemps' improvement has been amazing really for the amount of footy he has played, it's a real shame he is leaving.

Honourable mention to Nick Kenny for mine as well, he is a solid NRL player now who contributes every game he plays. A club needs players like him in the top 25 to stay competitive, he doesn't suck up too much of the cap but can be relied upon to get a job done.

I have to say Boyd whose inreased involvement is good to see, followed by Eastwood who still doesn't look terribly fit but he's more consistent. Denan Kemp is also on the improve, sorry to see him go.

EDIT: somehow I nearly typed Deadend Kemp, hmm.

I reckon the most improved are:

1. Boyd
2. Eastwood - i think he is having a good year this year. i wasn't happy with him for most of last year
3. Kemp

Yeah my vote would have went to Boyd or Kemp tbh.. The media tend to blow smoke up Ennis all the time. He is a great player but I giant K nob also.

Micheal Ennis by a country mile, look at this way, he was rubbish last year (injury or not he had no input to the team) he basically went from no impact player to a vital player.

But Boyd has been most improved IMO, But i can see why they have said Ennis.

I can see why they chose Ennis as well but Boyd has gone from a fringe first grader to an origin star due to his good form this season. Ennis was good in patches last year he is just being more consistent this year.

Boyd for sure. Even though I think his improvement started last season I would say he has been the most improved for us.

Agree with pretty much all that has been said so far - Kemp and Boyd

Boyd definately, from what I've seen he's become a better ball-handler and he's made Origin.

How is that not most improved?

i wanted Boyd gone last year, he was so bad....even his positioning in attack was crap, but this year he's been great guns.

Ennis has improved out of sight, but last year when he played he played mostly halfback if i recall...they only go with ennis cos he's a blew

I don't think Ennis has improved per se, more like he's finally doing what we all expected and knew he could. This is why I'm p1ssed off that he's leaving. The Broncos nursed him through - what was it? - 2 or 3 seasons of injury and the instant we start to get some consistency out of him, he's off to Belmore.

I'd go for kenny. A fringe player last year, many expected him to be the man left out of the pack this year with Sims and Clinton coming in. But he has held his own and really stepped up in spots where the Broncos have needed it.

Boyd and I'd have to agree with spoonbled too, Kenny has come along nicely this year. At the start of the season he wasn't going great but he has turned it around now.

Kenny and Eastwood are definitely two who still went missing in a big way at the start of the year, but are really turning it around atm.

Honestly, if we were picking most improved over the last eight weeks, they'd get it in a split decision IMO.

However, over the last three-four months, I still think Boyd has nabbed it!

Yup Boyd for sure.

Outside of him, if Steve Michaels didn't get injured and maintained his form he'd be right up there. He was playing really well in the centres.
