He'd struggle physically at this stage in his career. If you're looking for a youngster it'd make more sense to promote someone like Beale, Tupou or Glenn, they'd be more comfortable playing at centre.

Hmmm - my memories of Hoffman at FB for Hunt are mostly good, while the players you mention I don't think have had any top level experience?

But I guess one of my issues is that why don't we try our younger players like other sides, instead ofr playing players like Stagg woefully out of position?

I guess we had little choice with Hodges, Moon and Michaels unavailable for selection. Wayne's idea was to just let Stagg fill the void until Hodges is back due to Stagg's defensive skills - It's the "safe" option IMO, but I think it can be costly at times.

That's always been my major criticism of Bennett - always the "safe" option which rarely works.

Frankly, I can't wait to see him go - his great reputation notwithstanding.
