Broncos need ..... ????

Time for building is over its been 12 years since the our last premiership. It’s time to think about the short term. If Nicholls can give us stability and a good half back mind then bring him in ASAP.

Its not going to happen.

And the Warriors during Origin of course.

Oh come on, do you really think the NRL will have the Warriors playing the Broncos during the origin period, like that will happen. Now turn and wave to the flying monkeys out the window.

Our solution i beleive looks as follows:

  1. McGuire to second row
  2. Gelnn/Thaiday stays on interchange as 20 min flash player - bring brains and experience
  3. Bird to Lock - 80min player
  4. Pearson and Opiac into the backs
  5. Captaincy to Mcullough (boyd is a pussy when it comes to getting in refs ear and getting agro)
  6. Send Oates, Kahu, Pearson and Mead to bootcamp for discipline and general life skills (harden the F*$K up)
  7. Send Roberts to train with all blacks in off season - learn how to not hide during the game
  8. WE NEED A HALFBACK - Kodi does not have the brains or physical ability to bring us a premiership.
  9. Bennett needs to make this his last year - As a club we are losing our ability to attract star players at a cheaper rate due to coaching success.
Until we find a halfback solution we will be top 8-4 team. It does not matter the draw, how many top 8 teams we play, how many sunday or friday matches we get. If we dont have brains and instilled discipline we will not win matches in arm wrestles. Blair and Moga have gone - although they come up with some good football - their brain explosions hurt and stack up during games.

We should not have let Benji go - hes better than Kodi - has 2 years left still and brings the kicking game and experience we needed in the halves. Hunt is not worth the money he went to the Dragons on - so there is no point saying we should have kept hunt either. I hope Bennett has a young gun up his sleeve in the half dept coming through ranks.

Why do Oates and kahu need to harden the **** up? Those 2 put in 100% every game especially Oates. Kahu played injured and still ran it back harder than some.

Watching the storm last night, I don't get why more teams aren't taught to aggressively palm off the top tackler (a.k.a Greg inglis style) against the storm. The top tackler for the storm often gets an underhook grip (key to wrestling a person down) and then twists and turns the player on their back and facing the wrong way as they hold them up to set the defensive line. Aggressive palms to the head would quickly stop this. They want to "test the boundaries" then I don't know why other teams dont

Lolz. What the actual ****? How do Oates and Kahu need to harden up? And how is Bennett lost his ability to attract players at cheaper rates?

HAHA, Oates harden the **** up what are you refering to there, why does he need to do that?, how about you run flat out at someone and smash your head into them and get knocked out, he is a determined man he has had knee reconstructions and he was in hospital nearly dieing with a staph infection and made a remarkable comeback and scored by memory 2 or 3 tries against the titans.

Who is this Opiac? I want Opacic to come in for Moga.

If McGuire leaves from lock he will go prop.

Glenn had been playing really good game towards the back end of the season making breaks and lots of tackles id keep him at 11.

I think teams need to start hiring wrestling/grappling/bjj coaches to counter the storm. It's what the game has come to. I noticed a lot of times cam smith would hold a player down with no particular downward force but that player wouldn't even fight or try to get smith off. But if that player had basic grappling training they may be able to fight the underhook or even sweep smith off the top.

As much as dont really want to see us get involved in the wrestle, i feel its getting to the stage where we are cutting of our nose to spite our face. We need to start giving it back to the likes of the storm.
