Yes, but preferably not something that could get us set upon by lawyers for the players, the club, etc.
Statement from Bruno Cullen said:The Brisbane Broncos have spoken to two players today after enquiries
into events that took place on the northern NSW coast over the weekend.
Both players were warned by police about their behaviour and were told
to move on.
While the players complied with these directions and were neither
detained nor charged for any actions, the matter cannot end there for the
Broncos.
The two players will be disciplined by the club.
“We were advised very early this morning that there may have been
occasion for police to talk to two of our players over the weekend,†said
Broncos chief executive Bruno Cullen.
“I immediately began enquiries, and that involved speaking to the two
players involved and the Superintendant in charge of policing that
district.
“He confirmed two players were spoken to on Saturday night and that
they were co-operative, apologetic and remorseful.
“However we are extremely disappointed that the players put themselves
in that situation. We are constantly reminding the players about
acceptable levels of behaviour and the dangers of socialising, especially
in unfamiliar territory.
“Therefore we will be dealing with the matter internally by disciplining the
players involved.
“Once again, we are reminding players and representatives of the club
not to put themselves in these types o situations.â€Â
