9 metres per game is extremely average when you're only making 4 runs per game, imo.

If you want to be an impact player off the bench and only intend on taking a few hit-ups, you've gotta make them count. Not sure there's any room in the current NRL for a defensive specialist on the bench, hence why blokes like Fensom are out of first grade instead of bench players.

Yeah that's why I was never a big fan. A prop making 40m a game is pathetic in today's game, but if anyone can make average props go up a level, it's Bennett.

IIRC, Dodds always came in when we were under siege defensively, and how many runs you make has no bearing on the average meters imo, as it totally depends on whether your team is on the front foot with quick play the balls, or struggling to get out of defense with the opposition in their face...

Disagree with this, a bench forwards job is to come on and get us on the front foot, which is exactly what the good bench props do.

I am more looking forward to seeing what our young props can do, but it is good to have a solid defensive prop in your squad as cover.

Just spoke with his cousin here at work .... apparently it's already a done deal.

As in Braith Anasta's Italian-Greek step-cousin's uncle's fruiterer who sometimes walked past the window of an aristocrat's doctor's cat's kennel who possibly had heard the name of some guy's aunty's boss's older look-a-like possibly at-some-point-in-the-past somehow named Moga's cousin?

If so, it sounds completely legit. ;)

Hopefully Moga can stay fit and regain some speed and confidence.

Great signing imo, low risk high reward, if he gets injured it's only a short deal on a minimum contract, if he stays healthy he could be a first grade standard player.

Our outside back depth looks quite good now.

Boys, Oates, Kahu, Roberts, Mead, Opacic, Pearson, Moga, Pangai.

Now we just need to sign 1 more big bopper and we're looking good for 2017.
