Grant wont be at the Tigers next year. If Smith plays on, he is going to the highest bidder which wont be the Tigers regardless of what they are saying with their cap.
Smith retires, he is going back the Storm as per his contract.

I think so as well, but from what i'm hearing they are looking at him mainly as backup for back row/lock as much as centre. The offer is close to 260k as well apparently

They even have that covered with Takairangi being able to cover backs and forwards off the bench.

Good luck to him I guess... but Parra clearly have too much salary cap... or do they think it's a soft cap like 2015 again

Wasnt Takairangi rumoured to be off to the UK or the Warriors? Think he is off contract.

I'll miss Oates if he goes. Pretty much everyone's been shit the last year or two, Seibold and White really drove this team off a cliff. It'd be much better if he stuck around, found some of that form which had him as one of the best wingers in the world and put in some hard yards to redeem himself. But I suppose if he goes he goes and we find someone else to do the job. No big deal but sad nonetheless.
