Yeah I remember him on the wing but it was in the trials and then got selected ahead of Tony.NRL debut was at fullback

But Clive Churchill and Matt Bowen have those other attributes....He's 5cm taller than Matt Bowen, 2cms taller than Clive Churchill and and 6 cms shorter than me
Oates is a player we need to keep around.
His form had a lot to do with our inability to use our left side properly. If we fix that, he’ll come good.
That led to a drop in form which led to confidence taking a nose dive. When he gets his confidence back, he’ll go back to being one of the best wingers in the comp.
We don’t have anyone else that can replicate what he can offer.

I trust Brent Read more than Buzzed SloshedfieldMight’ve been mentioned but Brent Read said this afternoon that Jack Bird is in Walters’ plans
You shut your mouth, he ran 200m against the bulldogsPersonally I think Nui is to small to play fullback and doesn’t have the other attributes required for you to ignore his height
Man, I can't deal with the excuses Isaako and Oates have had for the past two years of shit they've served up. Those things don't mean you forget to catch. Isaako having problems at home does not mean he should come off his wing every time, or drop kicks that go straight to his chest. The left side of attack has nothing to do with Oates and his dick fingers dropping everything. They were both liabilities even when those problems didn't exist.Oates is a player we need to keep around.

No he is either on the wing or nothing he is useless as a forward and we don’t have space for him on the benchI’d have him as a bench forward. He’s had too many errors on the wing for a few years now. Constantly leaving his man in defence is something he’s been doing since he started.
It’s not gonna be half of next year... And not surprised that bird is in his plans they apparently had quite a close relationship when he was an assistant at the clubI trust Brent Read more than Buzzed Sloshedfield
It wouldn't really make any sense to keep getting rid of players without bringing any in... and there's no one on the market. Plus we just lost our starting right centre for half of next year
Walters has refused to pick him in origin because of the fact that he believes he’s a backrower. He said he wouldn’t pick Oates until he plays forwards in NRL. Keen to see him start there next year.
I mean, it very well could beErrmmm. Is this a different Corey Oates who played all 3 games on the wing for Queensland in 2019?

You’re right, Oates has been on par with all the other wingers this year. They’re all the same and Oates definitely hasn’t been far worse than all of them. I was being sarcastic by the wayOates makes a lot of errors. So do a lot of other wingers including the best in the game. Even when he was at the top of his game, he was making a lot of errors. That's just something wingers do. Always have, always will. They are more prone to making errors.
If people are hoping for a winger that's not going to make a lot of errors, you're going to be waiting a while...
Sure, errors are part of wing play, but a lot is forgiven when they are offset by positive plays.Oates makes a lot of errors. So do a lot of other wingers including the best in the game.
