We'd have to lose one of Oates, Glenn, kahu at least. Plus a few proven players such as mead, sims, (wouldn't mind these 2 going admittedly), opacic, ofa or TPJ (please not TPJ). And on top of that 1 or 2 of these highly rated juniors MINIMUM.

A squad wins a premiership. Not just because of injuries but because of standards being raised and pressure from players below to ensure players perform. Not just a kicking game. That's what I want to make sure is weighed up with Taylor

I don't pretend I know the true value of players contracts but it's pretty obvious we would take a hit in our depth and quality somewhere else to get Taylor. The thing with tpa's is players and the nrl want most of it in their contract because if a company/player sponsor goes bust they won't see the money + they need to fulfil extra needs outside of footy to please the sponsor.

We need Oates his one of our best he gets us good meters and makes strong runs and is a good winger and is a future second rower and will be one of the best.

even if that is true, they are also 3 of the best in their positions that the game has ever seen, that allows them to carry weaker players in other positions.

none of our spine positions even come close to being as good as those 3.

Boyd would probably be the closest, although he is a different style player to Slater. Slater is you speedy hole runner, while Boyd is your play maker.

Macca isn't remotely the player Smith is

Milford is closer to Munster than Cronk

Taylor isn't in Cronks league either


If you think we can replicate the Storm by paying Milford and Taylor a million a season, then you are sadly mistaken, neither player is worth that at this stage of their careers. This means that we have to get a better quality of players to play along side our halves, thus need to spend much more on our supporting cast than the Storm do on theirs

I support your argument but you are missing the fact that the storm were paying them big $$ They wouldn't have kept all 3 if they didn't cheat the system

I've said it ever since he didn't sign with the Titans originally that he's a lay down misere to be in Broncs colours.

He's running game will become alot better at the broncos because at the Titans he's literally there only attacking threat. So he's targeted big time.

I said the current Milford. He is pretty much nothing like he was back then.

I don't see any reason why Milford can't combine with Taylor well. Taylor isn't as much of a dominant half as Marshall.

The biggest concern is whether Taylor would be able to live up to the price tag. Two seasons in and he has shown very little improvement in all of the important aspects of a halfback's job.

This is about the time Hunt started to cop a lot of shit...
