According to Weidler the Roosters are favourites for Cronk, but the Sharks, Eels & Rabbitohs have expressed interest.

Perhaps we could land Maloney out of this? There was the rumour that Maloney wasn't happy with his pay at the Sharks and wanted out, if they can agree to terms with Cronk.. Maloney would likely become a free agent.

I'd say that we would be one of the only clubs right now that could offer him a 3 year contract and a guaranteed Number 7 jersey. It'd obviously have to be a back-ended deal, as we probably don't have much more than $300-400k available for next season.

Would kill a few birds with one stone, elite kicking game, elite goal kicking, good potential combination with Milford.

Very true mate. Would be great to see Milford work on his kicking rather then buy someone souly for their kicking abilities. I've seen him do a couple of nice kicks on the 5th, but for someone demanding 1 mill a year he definitely has some work to do
