Wayne dropping him for the previous game can't have helped our chances though.
You're wrong, he had a virus, he's probably there best prop. No way he'd drop him from the team. Wayne is a huge fan of Walmsley.

Didn't realise he was sick. Hope we get him.

Tune in for the England vs Lebanon game this weekend. A man by the name of Alex Walmsley. Broncos have been mentioned on several occasions with him.
Half the comp has been mentioned when it comes to walmsley.

There was an article the other day that had 3 different teams and none were broncos. I think he has another year at St Helens as well. which would require a transfer fee that gets put on the cap.

I'm still surprised Bennett hasn't found a half in super league being england coach and all.

NRL 360 said that broncos had been building a war chest for ash in 2018. That says to me we now have cash available for a marquee signing and as of tomorrow 2018 contracts can be registered. It may be what Joe has been referencing ie 2018 signings rather than 2017

Walmsley is the sort of prop we need.

196 cm and 115 kgs.

Let’s see

Lodge
Sims
Offa
Walmsley
TPJ
Haas

Some big boys on that list of props

So we could march out a team of:

8. Lodge
9. McGuire
10. Walmsley
11. Sims
12. Gillett
13. TPJ

14. Haas
15. Fifita
16. Joffa
17. Savelio

Since everyone thinks bigger is better, would you all be happy with that?

If their intensity matches their height than of course.

Pearce is at best currently 400K per year player. Hes probably being paid over for what he has delivered at Roosters (some reports of 550-600?).

If he comes to Brisbane we could pick him up as cheap as 250-300k per year with Roosters picking up some of the tab outside of this. For this money he is worth putting Kodi back to the bench. Kodi is still not a premiership halfback and never will be - Wayne and most smart football brains see this. We missed taylor (which is probably a good thing for the money he signed on), Carney has 4 years left on the market but would still be a big risk. Wayne & KW could teach Pearce a strong game management brain - Milf can be the flamboyant side - its a very good mix that has the ability to win the competition most days of the week. Theres 4-5 solid years left in Pearce, Milf is around for 4 years, Mcullogh has 4 years in him. It is an opportunity to build a stomach we have not had since Ben hunt had a mental breakdown after dropping the ball in 2015 GF.

The options left market wise would be:
Kiieeerrry - 500K
Pearce -250-300K
Carney - 200K
Kodi - Free.

IIRC Pearce's most recent contract is for $700k a year.

Whys everyone getting caught up on Pearce coming to Brisbane? Get in the real world it will never happen and never has looked like happening

But he is only now worth 250K according to James Bond. And he is going to move up north for that 60% pay decrease.

Pearsche.

350

Chris Hill is their best Prop alongside Graham. Their isnt much between Walmsley and Scott Taylor as the backups.

Well, hes not worth 600-700 comparison to the 6-7 other halves ahead in performance. We can give him descent TPS, Roosters can pay some of his wage to get their problem out of the way. We could well and truly be left with a 300K bill. 100-150K "TPS" + 150K Nick Polatis = 300-350K.

The best you could probably hope for is 500k, and he's definitely worth that price.

Any news of potential signings for the broncos? It's gone very quiet, seems every other club is having a field day.

That would be good i think Pearce can work at Broncos he is more controlled then the halves we have now. I think wayne can pull a big signing here. Imagine getting both jayden and pearce

I agree, seems as though every other club is in talks with players. In my opinion if we don't sign a go forward prop and a reputable controlling halfback we might find ourselves in the bottom part of the 8.
If we don't sign a 7 we atleast need a utility to cover 7 & 9.
