I can imagine that was hard for the journalist (and i use that term very loosely) to get the responses they needed to write that article. lol
Boyd is the best all round FB in the game bar none, and Milford is a 23 year old who has performed in clutch situations, including a GF, and will be playing for Aus and QLD in the next year. How are they not worth a bit of cash?
Submitting in the tackle allows a quick ptb though, if Boyd knows there's nothing on, might as well help get a roll on.
I don't see it as a problem, not everyone can or will be Karmichael Hunt.
Thats true, but I feel he can do more than submit, at least try and drive into the defence when you take it down.Submitting in the tackle allows a quick ptb though, if Boyd knows there's nothing on, might as well help get a roll on.

Source?Kahu has stated that he is open to leaving the club if the offer is good enough and has not ruled out going back to NZ.
But his preference is to stay at the Broncos.
Yeah, sounds about right.Typical nothing article really around contract time. Players always consider every offer before making a final decision.
he does pretty much dismiss the "go home" rumour about going to the Warriors though since Auckland is quite a distance from where is family is in Wellington
Kahu is a good player. He knows how to pass, score etc..
But to me, Boyd is a far better footballer. Kahu doesn't have the awareness, the vision, the smarts (well he hasn't shown it in his time at fullback in first grade), the organizing ability and leadership that Boyd has. Boyd is able to read the play so well and come up with the right option and he does it with absolute ease. His organizing at the back was a crucial part of our defence in 2015.
If giving Boyd 1 million and keeping him here meant we lost Kahu, I would be fine with that.
Allan can learn from the games best.
A rumor doing the rounds on social media saying we're re-signing Oates later this week, and his contract will be that of a second rower, with plans to move him there later this year.
I can see how this is gonna play out. Oates moves to 2nd row, Thaiday drops back to the bench as an impact prop and Mead comes onto the wing.
I don't agree with the Oates situation TBH. I understand how it normally works, in that wingers can normally be attained cheap, because it's where you blood your rookie backs, and being young, fast, and able to contort is a winger's recipe.
In this case though, are there many, if any, wingers that can offer what Oates does? Radradra would come close, but his handling is worse than Oates' and I suspect he won't even see out the season. There are plenty who can finish like him, and there are a few that can really pump out a good 15 - 20 metre run to get the set of 6 off, but are there any that can do both? Why does he have to be in the back-row to earn good money? I'd be quite happy to pay him $600 - $700k (post cap increase) to stay on the wing and dominate.
In fact I am concerned a move to the back row will blunt him - he may be big and strong, but his speed will only be utilised if he makes a line break, his finishing ability will mean jack shit if he's not diving for the corners, and he won't be getting our sets off to a rolling start. And that's even before we factor in the wear & tear.
