Broncos Player Movement and Rumours 2020

My theory is you can get him cheaper mostly but I also don't think it's worth it. If Boyd is $1 million and Milford is $1 million that's a lot of cap space gone.

It's also an incredible amount of talent.

To be honest, I don't think anyone within our team is worth a million dollars a season, with or without the increase in the salary cap. I also don't feel there are too many players in the game that are really worth the million dollars they're asking for/getting.

One of them is worth it the other isn't...

I agree. Milford isn't worth a million, he's probably worth a bit less than that. But he has actual potential, and the right coach to get it out of him, so the extra amount seems a good. Especially if he can become as consistent as our captain in the next year or two.

Boyd is the best all round FB in the game bar none, and Milford is a 23 year old who has performed in clutch situations, including a GF, and will be playing for Aus and QLD in the next year. How are they not worth a bit of cash?

The media loves to throw massive figures around, especially when reporting on us, but I doubt we'd be paying them a mil under the cap, we're the Broncos, and both of them are beloved Broncos players in Brisbane (hello Brisbane exclusive TPAs).

I'd be very surprised if all of it was under the cap.

Mimis is going to need to be on his game to get from 800 to over million with third party deals not on the cap.

We can't go paying too much over for players we have a lot of good young players to keep

I have faith......

Do you even watch games? Its a serious question because his defence at the back is top notch for a fullback, and he has put on quite a few match winning tries. Just because he isn't diving over the line doesn't mean he isn't the one orchestrating it. And they are all earning comparable money to Boyd.
Did you watch the game against the sharks? didn't lay a hand on Feki or Beale. Literally stood in the middle of them and did nothing. And then did a very poor job holding Maloney up. I dunno I've never been impressed with his try saving ability at all. We did very well in 2015 with Kahu at fullback.

Are you seriously bagging his defence on the Leutele try?

The Maloney try, he could have done better. Although, in those situations 99.99% of the time the attacking player scores.

As for the Beale try.. There isn't a fullback in the game that could have stopped that.

But basing your opinion on one game, it's a little ridiculous to be honest.

There have been heaps of times where he has saved our ass.
