Releasing every guy that has a bit too much confidence isn't a great plan.

Some of the best players have too much confidence and they're just lucky they have the physical capability to pull off the miracle plays.

Allan will probably show us why he was a bit cocky or whatever it was you insinuated.

Confidence isnt an issue. A sense of entitlement is. And thats one of the reasons why he is moving on. He is certainly capable of becoming a good NRL player and leaving us with egg on our faces, but i think we have made the right decision at this moment in time for us as a club.

Its also quite annoying some always seem to think we let certain players go when they are out of contract and choose to go elsewhere. We have tried to keep some, like Ese'ese, Arrow, Wallace and Hunt but they all chose other offers. Then there are the likes of Moga who we didnt even bother trying to keep.

Yeah maybe now after his year but Arrow was gone before the preseason so realistically I can't see a way we could have kept him and given the performance of our younger guys I don't think he would improve our squad.

His next season will be interesting to see if he backs up.

We made him a decent offer tbf. He just got a better one we couldnt compete with at the time. Dont really think we could have done a lot more than we did. I think its going to be inevitable we lose one of our crop of young forwards coming through at some point as well.

No way would we have moved Moose on for Arrow 12 months ago. Even after a season that was a little below par for him, i still wouldnt release him. I'd just shift him back to prop.

Myles Tuaeli would complement the current young forwards nicely. Keen to see him play for us. We have Andre Savelio and Salesi Funaki too.

Sav is more an edge back rower, although i reckon he could play prop. Myles has been a bit quiet for Reddy this year, but he has missed a lot of games through injury.

Funaki wont play for us. I'm just a little concerned its going to be Carrigan who we end up losing. The best young forward we have imo.

I think we can afford to lose blokes like Fai and Funaki and maybe even Mago.

Have there been any quotes from him about that? It's not like his role would change at all, he'd still be doing the exact same thing, though we'd have someone more suited to the new modern lock at lock (like TPJ).

I just remember he always wanted to replace Parker at lock. It meant a lot to him and he let the media know.. basically the same position as lock.. it's all ego.
