By terminally manipulating the salary cap to a point that the NRL has put rules in place to prevent it ever happening again after he did exactly the same thing at the Bulldogs.

Credit to how Manly have gone this year, they look a million times better than last year with largely the same squad.

So another promising half let go. If it’s true we haven’t got much depth left in the halves when you consider this pre season they were abundant.

How much money will SOS free up? This isn't the Roosters, they won't be able to sign Tedesco and Cam Smith with the money he'll free up.

I think we will probably let go Kennar, Tagatese, Mago, Fai and Fensom leave, Possibly SOS unless he kills it. There is no way we keep all of, Oates, Glenn, and Segyaro as well as tying up Fifita, Paix, Perese, Flegler, Farnworth and Staggs. Something is going to have to give.

Just Googled the last thing, as I hadn't heard that before. Can't read the article, but it says Warriors are throwing 3Mil at Tino. I don't understand their plan, it seems kind of dumb. They are targeting a specific player, just trying to get any 1 talented teenager on huge money.

I dont see how we keep them all though quite honestly. We have a lot to manage, and i think we have spent too much on our pack and neglected other areas. Our balance in the forwards is wrong for me. We probably need a couple of workman like players on smaller contracts than we have the likes of Joffa on. Take a leaf out of the Storms book.

Can't blame him if he wants to leave. I don't get why they'd let sos go , unless boyd does hang around. Or maybe they see paix as our 7 and dearden 6 , which is brave.

Yeah stupid strategy, considering he can't even hold a bench spot yet. I think he will be a great player and I think the storm will go hard for Fifita.

Maybe the thought is to keep Turpin at 7 next season and let SOS go. What happens with Gillo may be a major factor too. For mine I would be prioritising retaining Fifita before Oates unless as mentioned by another poster that Fifita may already be factored in.

Is Fifita already signed for next year? If so, unless they plan to upgrade his 2020 money as part of his new deal (which is a possibility), any new contract will only effect 2021 onwards and won't have any bearing on next year's cap.
