Moose isn't a prop.

Are you saying he's a lock? I don't think he is.
In 2015, we were on fire with those Parker and Blair offloads putting Milford and the likes into space. McGuire's offload is non-existent and he plays like a prop.

Arrow brings that offload back. His defence is already really solid as well.
It's between him or Bird for lock imo.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, we're starting 3 props this year, none of them have enough skill or passing accuracy to be considered a modern day lock. I'd be ok with releasing Blair and shifting McGuire back to prop if it enabled us to keep Roberts & Boyd.

Let's not forget that even if Arrow isn't the long-term answer at 13, we have a young guy by the name of Pangai Jr who I think would thrive in the role.

Yep, I'd be happy for McGuire to shift back to prop and for us to try a few of our other younger options at lock.

Blair does add experience and he does do a fair bit of the un-noticed 1% plays but if he wants to go or is looking for too much money then I would let him leave.

I sortof get the feeling tho that Blair is happy here and is not costing us a packet, so it would not surprise me if he just stayed for less money.

I think arrow to lock if he stays and bird at center. Maybe offa can fill blairs roll .

****, what position did he play in the NRL for the past 7 years then?
Oh so we are back to the delusion that Moose competes as a prop?

He's a speed bump for bigger guys.

If you guys want to go back to us getting run over each week; then by all means switch him back.

He either makes it as a lock or he ships out. TPJ, Ese'ese, Haas, Sims, Fai etc are or will better props

Sorry what does skill and passing have to do with it?

Taumololo doesn't pass.

Should the cows move him to prop?

They could and it wouldn't make a difference, Taumalolo is a once in a generation player.

The point is that you'll find most teams have a skillful (Or at the very least, most skillful available) forward playing at Lock. I think Elijah Taylor is the style of player suited to Lock in the modern game, he can ball play, he has an enormous motor and is great defensively. The only area in his game that's lacking is consistent metres, but that's probably because he's making 45 tackles a game.

I can't see McGuire ever become a ball playing forward, the only forward on our roster who I think has a chance to be that for us is Pangai Jr, he could be a nice middle ground between Taumalolo & Taylor, gives us great metres, but also has the finesse required in the modern game.

TPJ is a great future prospect at lock. Just don't think he's there yet in defence or fitness, whereas Arrow is.
McGuire won't cut it. Just remember how great our footy in 2015 with those offloads from Parker and Blair. In 2016, it kinda disappeared.
Moose has no offload at all.

I disagree about Offa he has had some solid games for us and will do his confidence well I think he will stay. As for Blair we can't lose him he has been great for broncos and I can't see him leaving though after fixing his career.

he is better suited to prop than lock IMO
agreed. he's a busy lock without doing a lot. always has decent stats but you can never really remember a real stonking run by him or an offload that broke the game open.

he does the 1%'ers though.

If the Roosters can turn Guerra, Evans & Kenny-Dowall in to Tedesco & Chambers, the NRL shouldn't have any issue with us turning Hunt & Blair in to Bird & Taylor.

Sounds like we're freeing up cash for a proper play for Ash Taylor.. Fingers and toes crossed.

Whilst I realise its hard to know what is happening in the background the vibe I get from Talyor tho is that he seems to have in his mind that he owes the Titan's for giving him his shot at a first grade spot even-though we did the right thing and set him free to take up the offer.

We may not get him back now, we may just have to settle for hopefully some good karma from the footy gods instead.

Yeah, I'm kinda with you in that everytime Taylor speaks to the media, he seems to refer to the building of the young spine, suggesting he will stay. I've got a foot in both sides of the argument TBH, but obviously I'm gunning for him to come back.

I think the highest bidder will take him. Maybe Melbourne??
