I'd really like to see how Milf would go at the Storm. I think he would reach his potential there. Not so sure at the Broncs.

Would only be because Bellamy would be whipping his ass every single day.

He's under contract for potentially two more years, if the Broncos say you're free to go and are desperate enough they will pay some of his salary. Storm could pick him up for 50%.

That's why all this I'd drop these 18 players is so ridiculous. They still have to get their money and it is coming from somewhere. If that is 100% Broncos or 50% Storm and 50% Broncos.

Only blessing would be that they no longer take up a spot in your 30, which they would have two years ago.

Another blessing by turfing Milford would be we might be able to actually gain a player who doesn't stink it up every 5th tackle, tries something other than bombing on the last, and looks and plays like he really wants to be out there. So someone the exact opposite of Milford basically.

Yup, he's a pretty lazy looking player, just coasting along in his own little world I think.

All of those things sound pretty reasonable tbh. Storm were rumoured to be interested in Milford a couple of years ago. It also makes sense on the front that neither Croft or Hughes are elite Halfbacks, and Munster / Papenhuyzen have the Fullback & Five-Eighth positions on lock.

I could see some very large changes if Milford, Boyd, McCullough & Boyd all go. Something like -

1. Holmes
6. Walker
7. Townsend
9. Turpin

Can Bellamy fix Milford? He’s not cut from the same cloth as Cronk and would take a lot of work to turn him into a premier halfback.

I'm disappointed FOR him but otherwise not that upset about this to be honest. We clearly need the cap for more important things than a specialist centre.

Just as I expected/predicted would happen. As I said previously, he has had no luck and is a heck of a player when fit. The problem is, he seems to be cursed by injury and for the money he is on, he is not providing value for us.

That 900k he is reported to be getting next year could buy us virtually any half we wanted - pending that player getting a release from his contract of course. Sorry Birdy, the short time relationship was fun while it lasted, but we can do so much better.

I wouldn't be surprised mate, for sure. I just think the money we are paying him is needed to be spent elsewhere, i.e. getting a gun half. For the kind of coin Bird is on, we should be able to tempt someone, surely. Even if we had to pay say 300k of Bird's contract next year, it still gives us around 600k to spend.

I think Bird will go to the Knights or the Dogs. If it's the dogs, perhaps a deal can be worked out for a swap between him and Foran. We need someone like him more than we need Bird.
