The Gus Gould5678910 year plan worked wonders. I guess we need to keep Seibold for another 8.
I did try not to say the G word...

There is zero substance in that story other than Rothfield saying he wants to leave when his contract is up.Take this with a pinch of salt, but Slothfield reporting Staggs is after a new agent and wants out of Brisbane. I love Kotoni as a player, he has been one of my favourites since i first saw him playing at Redcliffe, but i dont know why i'm just not bothered if he leaves if he starts chasing a move and we end up with all the bullshit that went on with Fifita. We should make him a good offer, and if he turns it down move on. We have stuffed up enough contracts in recent years. Time to play hardball i think. We have become pushovers when negotiating contracts.

It's not a terrible idea but I don't think we should worry too much about outside backs. We need to follow the Parramatta model and focus on getting our spine right and then build our team around them. An experienced prop would also help while our young pack matures.I've had an idea, do you reckon we could get Vunivalu to change his mind on rugby? He is an absolute grub but he is a grub who is an excellent winger. We could use him a lot.
If this is true, the obvious issue is bigger than just losing Staggs. I love Staggs as a player, as I do Fifita and TPJ. All the star talent either leaving or trying to leave is a huge fucking problem. Especially considering what the club sacrificed to keep the young stars and build toward the future.Take this with a pinch of salt, but Slothfield reporting Staggs is after a new agent and wants out of Brisbane. This is exactly what I've been thinking. We've sold the soul of the club to keep these young blokes, now they want out when the going gets tough. If this is true, the obvious issue is bigger than just losing Staggs. we killed the culture, showed 0 loyalty to experienced players, shed all leadership from the team all in the name of retaining young talent. If we lose TPJ, Fifita, Staggs and whoever else then what exactly tf do we have?
Whether or not he's telling the truth (I think the truth but I'm not a mind reader and this season is cursed), this is exactly what players should do for their fans when these BS rumours come out. The fans are suffering this season, show us you care and are here to help us turn it around, not looking for an exit when the times get tough...
Think if we could only afford 800k for fifita next year we are not affording 1.5 next year for smith
