Remember when josh Hoffman was the next big thing. Then we found out he couldn't pass or kick.

Could have been one of the great wingers, but as usual, too much ego for that.

Will be the same story with Holmes.

Speaking of Josh, apparently he's looking for a new team now that the Eels have brought Hayne back, I always liked him as a specialist winger, we could do worse than signing him on a 1 year deal for the minimum, it would allow us to make the Oates transition now rather than later. (Which would unfortunately mean the end for Thaiday, but that decision has to be made eventually)

I don't mind that team. I think Thaiday should have finished up this year and we could do with a different body shape like Oates in the forwards. Only question would be his fitness and how many minutes he could play I guess.
