Haha, you're an idiot BB, no disrespect or anything. But I like the fact that we haven't taken those players who went to other clubs (Widdop etc.) because they were asking too much for what they were worth. I'm with Mr Wright, if we can't find someone then it's better off we hold until there is someone to sign. Glad we didn't pay overs for any of the players up for grabs, they aren't worth it.

I'm not pissed off that we missed out on Widdop or any others players signed this year so if you want to call me an idiot at least get your facts right. My gripe is with the club's attitude towards recruitment.

A player isn't going to just magically pop out of thin air. I can be patient if I knew the Broncos were actively looking for someone, but the recent articles about us not looking for anyone, and the staff denying going after just about every rumoured player doesn't exactly build up my faith in our recruitment.

The club has always been coy when it comes to recruiting from outside the club, doesn't mean they are apathetic about it.

I'm pretty sure that Porthoz is saying that by not recruiting any of the current off-contract players, who's talent level (or in Dugans case, mental level) vs their asking price is questionable, it actually shows that our recruitment policy is ok.

Souths? The 4 burgess brothers pretty much make their recruitment amazing. Add in Teo, lima and inglis and they have had a few good years in signings

You haven't named a single example of what could've been done better, and you desperately avoid answering that question because well... You don't have an answer!

I am still fuming at the way they poached Inglis, but yes they have recruited well for their needs, which are not ours.

We are pretty well served in the forwards dept, the backs is where we could improve, but there simply isn't any real quality available out there, and whichever players do come on the market, go for outrageous prices which they aren't worth, or stick with their clubs for an improved salary, which as much as I would love to see a Thurston or a DCE play for us, is good for the game,!
