You can hear it in everything they say to the media. You can tell what their attitude is because of the only 3 players of note they have recruited in the last 2 years. Stagg, Petero and Prince. All players that wanted to play at the club. The club hasn't actually actively chased a player and succeed to sign him to make the squad better for years. Recruitment has been poor our squad has gotten weaker over the last few seasons without a doubt. No need to fix that though because we have excellent juniors that we don't pick anyway and then the sign elsewhere.

For those that want to blindly defend the Broncos recruitment, you do appear to be as narrow minded as the current Broncos management...I'm sure Peter Wallace is going to be the answer to all our problems (as we keep getting told) even though he has been somewhere between poor & very average over 6 seasons. The fact that he is still considered our main man is all the proof you need to have to show our recruitment sucks, dammit take the blinkers off and see that penrith, dragons and eels are recruiting way better than us.

On which actual facts are you basing that opinion? Still not answering the question Beads.
You say the club's recruitment has been poor, because the roster has been getting weaker, but you ignore the fact there haven't been players available to make it stronger, so I'm asking again: who should the club have chased that they didn't, and who do you think we could realistically have recruited that would've been added value to the squad?

If you can't answer the above, you have no VALID reason to accuse the club of poor recruitment, except what the stuff you gobble down from the media!

Fact: The only players worthwhile pursuing that have been on the market, were Thurston, DCE, Inglis, Dugan and Carney. Anyone else?
Fact: All these players were sounded by the Broncos except Carney, and we don't know if we talked / are talking to him.

You have a clear Bias against Griffin because of the Gagai thing, which clouds your opinion.

Beale, Frei, Hunt, Baptiste, Hoffman, Norman and Lui, all have better players ahead of them in their preferred position.
McGuire, Copley and Glenn and as you said, Yow Yeh, have clearly improved over time.
You probably are right about Macca, but Reed and Gillett have proven the coach right with his persistance.

That's absolute rubbish, do you actually read my posts. I have made my opinion on this very clear. I too am annoyed that so far on the surface we have lost norman and gained zilch but to be honest what was to be gained by signing any of the options? Widdop on not 550k would have been worth the gamble but thats the reality of the situation. When you have clubs like the dragons that will throw ridiculous money at players.

As far as recruitment goes as I have said a few times whether we are doing anything behind the scenes or not we (the public) wouldn't know because the club is always coy in regards to this stuff. So running around so running around based on speculation seems pointless IMO

The coach never really believed in his talent. If Beale resigned last year Dane wouldn't even been offered another contract.
The same thing is happening with Hunt. The coach doesn't believe he has the talent to play halfback.
Mitchell Frei same story.
Beale left and now Norman is leaving cause they both feel like they were playing out of position.
Hunt wants to leave cause he wants an opportunity to play halfback.
It gets back to the coach. I don't think he can develop talent.

Which one of our youngsters has actually improved under the coach?

I am 100% sure there was plenty of players off contract that would have improved the Broncos squad. Your FACTS are clearly BS.
