We have been complacent about our playing group for long enough. Premiership within the next 2-3 years or questions must be asked.

I don't give a **** what half the other clubs are happy with. We are the broncos for ***** sake.

When we have a great young halfback I don't want the club to shake its shoulders and go "oh well, we'll just wait another 4 years, business as usual"

You're also assuming the other players won't leave in your assumption that it will just be another few years.

IMO the club in recent times have done far too much shoulder shrugging with their 'she'll be right' attitude, which is why we are where we are now

Hunt grew up supporting the Sharks, that might count for something I guess.

IF Hunt even tests the water with Cronulla, I hope Brisbane throw up a big middle finger to the Sharks and offer Hunt a very good counter offer.

I don't care that we have young guys who will be ready soon, Hunt is ready now. You don't just give up pocket Aces on the chance you'll get them again soon.

I'm glad you got that rant out of your system, but it's completely irrelevant to anything I've said, I said it would suck to lose Hunt, not that we should let Hunt go and just bank on the kids coming through, l2read.

That's simply untrue, at the end of 2005 plans started for the Elite Player Development Unit. Cullen gave the Unit it's own budget, business plan and staff.

Studies were done on Man U, AIS, the Crows and Eagles.

The Unit starts with 14 year olds who enter the Junior academy at 15 and if they're still there graduate to the senior academy at grade 12.

The target is three or four players a year into the NYC team. Class of 2008 was McCullough, Beale, Hunt, McGuire and Copley. They were the first group to go all the way through.

Since then, Yow Yeh, Frei, Baptiste, Gillett, Norman, Dodds, Lui, Hala and Maranta and Cullen.

Cullen was brave to put so much faith in Nolan, Bunn and Cyrill and what they wanted to do. By the time it was ready we had just won a comp and it would of been easy to say don't worry we're sweet.
