Parker has made the most offloads in the NRL this year ... the support play needs to be better ... has nothing to do with him playing prop

Remember how good our attack was in 2013 when he played lock. We were flat out scoring one try a week.

Just reading the rubbish of Hoffman enjoying being back at fullback on the nrl website , in the article he was saying how he loves fullback and although he never was originally a fullback growing up Anthony Griffin moulded him into one...........and that gentlemen proves Griffin can't coach because my god I don't think there is a more ineffective fullback in the competition, perhaps the guy debuting for Canberra but other than that

I think your wrong about Hoffman, he is a star IMO he makes 150+ metres a game a couple line breaks. His defence and the back is really good. He could go Titans, Cowboys, Dogs, Dragons, Raiders, Sharks and get the fullback role in a heartbeat. The ONLY things that lets him down is he's ability to pass. But if you've got two actual halves that's no problem. If he wants to be Fullback he'll get a gig in a heartbeat. But I hope he stays on the wing for us next year. :)

He is Josh Mansour without the beard and not even as good as Mansour. You don't see Mansour whinging about not being a fullback.

The only teams you mentioned where Hoffman could possibly get the spot in a heartbeat is Bulldogs, Titans, Raiders & Sharks. That's only because their options at the back are terrible.

I should also add, the only reason he would get the fullback spot at Raiders is because Milford is leaving. If Milford was staying, Hoffman wouldn't get the spot there.

Unless the team has terrible options, Hoffman would not get a spot in a heartbeat. Why? Because he is not a star fullback.

You're kidding right? Titans - Zillman; equal to or better than Hoff, Cowboys - Coote; better than Hoff, Dogs - maybe (only if they don't sign Snake), Dragons - Quinlan; equal to or better than Hoff, Raiders - maybe, Sharks - Gordon; better than Hoff....

How does he walk into any of those sides?

William Zillman and Lachlan Coote struggle to make the field week in, week out let alone play well enough to deserve precedence over a player like Josh Hoffman.

Michael Gordon has to be one of the most overrated players in the competition. Do people actually watch Cronulla play anymore? He is in the running for the worst fullback of the year and would probably win it if the Gold Coast Titans were kicked out of the competition at the start of the season. He offers nothing but a back-breaking mistake every now and then.

I'd throw Ben Barba in the mix too but Hoffman already took his spot.

Anybody who has a permanent first grade spot is a star player to the media. It is so overused it has become a pet peeve of mine.

This sort of comment is one of the biggest annoyances on here for me.

the guy is allowed to have a desire to play fullback, to enjoy playing fullback, to want to keep playing fullback (despite who the club signs) and to say he enjoys it and wants to keep doing it

it's not like Hoffman rang the courier mail or print the damn article himself. his comments would have been in response to a journos questions.

and if he gets moved to the wing next season, but gives it his all, i have no problems with him (or his comments), even if his motivation for giving it everything he has is to win back the fullback jumper.
