Yeah? and besides Brett, Huge and myself, who is vocally for it?

Me. But I'm not going to bother arguing about it, it's not like I'm going to convince anyone against it to change their minds.

Personally, i hope that Bennett (and if Boyd comes back, him too) prove me wrong.

and not just by winning a premiership, but also by leaving us in a strong place (with a good succession plan) after Bennett has left

I totally agree with your mindset about the importance on how he leaves the club because quite frankly I think this is his responsibility to correct how he last left the club and IMO that will be the true test of his coaching ability, because this is a different Broncos outfit his entering and it's much more important we rebuild the strong winning culture we had then it is to aim for a quick premiership, I'm not saying we don't go all for a premiership but Bennett's real task from the preseason onwards is to make sure the club is in a far better position both on and off the field (in terms of what he controls) so that the future coach is in a far better position then Henjak and Griffin were handed. Give him the opportunity to do so, if he can't his fair game IMO.

@1910

Creativity and innovation. I went to school with all of the Walker Bros from Preschool through to grade 12 and I respect their knowledge, nature, motivation, ethics and passion. They would need a balancing Head Coach to keep them realistic in the early years. WB seems the perfect bloke for that.

I think I have said it somewhere before on here, that watching the Jets this year has been my football highlight of the year. Figuring out what they're doing and why has been outstanding.

They're doing things no one else is even trying, and challenging things no one else is. They're creating footballers out of players and it's working. It's come unstuck a few times this year but that's going to happen no matter what you do.

The worst mistake you could make would be to think that it's ablib football- it's not.

League fans are doing themselves a disservice if they're not watching the Jets. They've only had two tv games so people aren't seeing them.

Daniel Vidot has been the bargain buy of the NRL season and he is about to be rewarded for his outstanding form when the Broncos offer the hulking winger an upgraded deal.

“My manager is talking to the club at the moment and I would love to stay,” Vidot said.

“I didn’t come here with a guaranteed spot. I got told I had to work for it. The coaching staff said it’s up to you where you go from here and I can’t be happier with how I’ve played this year.”

“I could call this my most consistent year. In 2010, I was scoring a lot more tries (16 from 25 games for Canberra), that was my glory year, I was lighter back then and had more speed.

“It’s something I want to work on next pre-season. I have the Four Nations coming up, I can’t wait for that, but hopefully next year I drop a few kilos, get more speed back and play in better shape.’’

Good stuff.

Vidot certainly deserves it ... He worked hard to get into the team and had been very valuable for us (even though he hasn't scored many tries)

Buy of the season. @ bargain basement prices to boot.

I hope he continues to work just as hard once he gets he well deserved upgrade

A bit surprising that we are re-signing players while the Salary Cap investigation is still going. Hopefully that doesn't cause any trouble moving forward. Great to see Vidot get looked after. He has earned a new upgraded deal.

Vidot has easily been the buy of the season and one of the Broncos' best buys for a long time.

I hope he can drop a few kilos in the off season, mainly from his thighs. Play a little bit lighter to get some speed back, but still remain big enough to be effective on kick returns.

He certainly seems motivated and has the right attitude.

They will have a few more over the next month.

Care to share?.

Massive Vidot fan so I'm happy with this. I hope the coaching staff let him lose weight next year too, he'll be powerful no matter what but a bit more speed would make him a much better winger.

I don't think we would be in the market for an outside back TBH.
