'Badel' but. How much trouble are we in. Mind boggles.

Badel doesn’t seem to know the difference between can’t pay and won’t pay.Behind a paywall but I assume this is just an article based on Kev’s comments in the post match about how overpaying players is how the cap got into it’s bad position to begin with. Nothing story
Can tackle too.Once KW makes the call to not resign Milf on anywhere close to 1 mill, or at all, then our cap will be ok.
I have no doubt this will happen.
Hell, I'd take Lachy Lewis on 300k before Milf on 600k.
At least we would get close to our moneys worth.

I can understand wanting to move on from Milford but I would never want a $300,000 half leading the team around.
You get what you pay for.
Isn't that kind of a contradiction? I mean in terms of Milford, Morgan, Taylor you kind of don't get what you pay for.
What would you with the spine, Pete?I can understand wanting to move on from Milford but I would never want a $300,000 half leading the team around.

I wasn't being literal pete just making the comparison.I can understand wanting to move on from Milford but I would never want a $300,000 half leading the team around.

No, that was an inflation caused by the new television deal (which the NRL didn't clear up until after Hunt signed) so contracts were bumped up due to an increase in demand. Both Milford and Morgan were among the best halves in the game when they re-signed, Taylor was out of sheer desperation.Isn't that kind of a contradiction? The Broncos paid a million because of the state of the market at the time and the NRL's inability to set a salary cap so players like Hunt were being offered $1.2 million contracts.I wasn't being literal pete just making the comparison.
There isnt 700k difference between what you get.
Get what you pay for?? We are paying 1 mill , are we getting that.

I've got no issue with them offering Milford marquee money, what was the alternative? And would the alternative have thrived in this environment Karl Morris created?
