So according to that article, the Broncos are willing to pay more for a hyped forward who has played 0 games than a hyped fullback who has played 0 games. Supposed $400K a year for another rookie forward just keeps shifting the balance in the wrong direction.

It’s not that bad that we kept him for 400k for 3 years... if he is shit he is very easily subsidised

I think Kevvie has done a good job so far. He has no chance to fix the roster and has moved on guys that needed to be moved on to resolve the roster situation which will long term be seem as good moves. I think he has had a positive impact on the group and their performance has improved, particularly effort. Until he can move on our spine and find suitable replacements there is not much he can do as this is our biggest problem. There are not a huge amount of options other than the top teams in the NRL. I just want to see improved defensive line speed and attacking structures that will both be better without Milford. Kevvie gave him some time to prove himself this year which was the best approach given what his best looks like. However, he failed and Kevvie he made the call to drop him. His defense has been horrible and his attack just as bad. Hunt will improve this massively. Hoping Oates comes back after similar treatment of a prolonged period in reserve grade which should have happened last year. I see kevvie is making tough calls and doing the best in the circumstances at the right pace.
 
If we are paying Piakura $400k a year i'd be expecting to see him playing NRL this year and soon. Thats a ridiculous amount of money to pay somebody who hasnt even proved he is a top player in ISC yet.
 
If I were Kev I would be putting Piakura on the bench right now and testing his capability in first grade, because if he kicks on, that strengthens the position of Riki and TPJ as starting 2nd rowers to push Glenn out of this side. **** his experience, it isn't worth shit to this side even as captain. He's a cooked goose. I'd rather see him out of the side sooner rather than later. His shamelessness in front of the journos last week when he took shots at underperformers despite being one himself was the last straw for me.
