Am I the only one who thinks a Reynolds & Milford halves combo would work very well?

Reynolds is the exact half that Milford needs, someone who can control the tempo of the game and take the lion's share of 5th tackle options close to the goal line, with Milford chiming in occasionally and picking his moments.

As long as Milford re-signs for about 1/3rd of his current contract value, I'd be keen to see how it goes.

No I think many of us agree but are just realistic some other desperate club, like the Sharks, will be stupid enough to offer him 500k+ And we should not be going anywhere near that.

You guys need to relax 😅

It’s understandable though let’s be honest, even with Garry confirming it, we’ve just been burnt so many times over the last decade that it feels weird to actually believe it is done.

It could work, but for me it just isn't worth the risk. He is a succubus and every half he has played with has had a slump in form eventually. He just can't stay up for games long enough, then his attitude pulls the other person down with him. I am sure we would see a spike in Milf's form but I don't know for how long.

In theory, yes, absolutely.

But, Milford has let us down time and time again with his lacklustre performances and vacant attitude. Not sure we can trust him to turn up, even at a fraction of what he costs now.

Hoopers the biggest flog hey, I can't stand his cliche colloquialisms. He will say something like "it was a loose carry from the Sharks, the Broncos rolled out the red carpet and came off the back fence to sign Reynolds". He said the same thing about Piakura and said Dearden was "penciled in" on the team sheet for Melbourne for the 2020 season when he had a contract here lol, the guy is the worst.

Hooper and his mates have also been bleating non stop the last 2 weeks how Reynolds wouldn’t leave Sydney as well.

I can’t wait to watch NRL360 to watch the sheepish looks on their faces when this becomes official.

Even Andrews John’s has come out and said it’s a crime and a sad day if Reynolds leaves South’s.

It’s going to be a glorious week of media next week gents. I suggest you saddle up early and buy Copious amounts of your favourite spirits and warm up the popcorn because we have been crying out for something like this to pick up our spirits over the course of this diabolical 2+ years.

This is the feeling you get when you see light at the end of a very dark and long tunnel. hopefully this is just the beginning .

Donaghey has already done more in a week in regards to the football side of things than White did in his entire tenure

I'm afraid way too many of you are going off half-cocked. All this pie in the sky supposition is what creates hysteria when it doesn't come to fruition.

I know we are all crawling through the metaphorical desert, deathly parched and in need of water in the way of some good signing news, but to go off like this when nothing has even been signed (apparently) is just setting yourself up for deep deep disappointment.

I’d normally agree with you but reading between the lines there is a reason the Sharks have put a deadline on Reynolds to give them an answer by tonight and have since started looking elsewhere with Milford’s name now being tossed up as they must have some inclination he isn’t taking up their offer.

Considering South’s stance on Reynolds and the fact Wayne has come out publicly and said he is leaving suggests we are the last man standing...

Unless the Titans or more specifically Mal magically come out from behind the toilet block and throw out a last minute $1million contract with their limitless cap they apparently have

I am not sold on Hynes at all, I think he could become good but needs to stay in the Melbourne system longer, he is very good at support plays and honestly that's the only real skill I see in him thus far, but for us we need alot more then that to get the best out of fullback we are not Melbourne.

We were the 'last man standing' with GI too. Look how that ended up.

I heard Reynolds and Gagai were done deals on the weekend.
Both have the same manager Steve Gilles.
It was hinging on what Coates was doing next year.

Wayne showing up to Broncos Hq this weekend, "here are my boys, now where is my Coaching Director contract".

GI wasn’t at the end of his career chasing security for his family.

This time we also don’t have an unlikable coach that the players could tell potential recruits not to come and play under

Hey fill yer boots. If it goes pear shaped don't say you weren't warned.

That’s my feelings too but provided we get him at the right price, he will at worst bring a professionalism and an attitude coming from a good system that our team has been in desperate need of. He also could be a fantastic utility player who covers a few positions.

I feel Storm would be more upset to lose Hynes than what they were when they were giving Croft away
