Titans signed him for three years at end of 2019. He's playing ISC this year and going really well. Just has a calmness about him. He's in their top 30 this year.

He steered Tweed back into the contest last week from 18-10 down and got them a win with a well placed short kick and deft passing to Walters.
Well it would be nice to pinch a good top 30 player off them this time around.

from what you’ve said he sure sounds like a great successor to Reynolds.

are either club looking at him?

He's locked up already until end of next year, Broncos have James. The future of Walker, James and Sexton is out there.

All Queenslanders, Sexton and Walker were the Australian halves in 2019 and James was Queensland U18 captain with Walker and Sexton as 18th man.

I'm still hoping we don't have a DCE style backflip coming.
There is so much certainty around this and so public the cynic in me can see it's a last ditch bid to force Souths hand.
Hopefully the club is sourcing the best house, school and wags club as we speak

Hope we go after Matt Dufty. He's at ripe age of 25, off-contract at the end of the year, speedy, carves em up, great support play, good kicking game....everything we need in a FB.

Dufty would be my first choice fullback signing. Hynes is a strong second but Hynes does have the ability to be a handy 5/8 if the Staggs experiment is a flop so I probably would be pretty happy with either.

Dufty will be around 700k, Hynes will be a cheapie at around 400k. Gamble can be a cheapie halves partner for AR if Staggs doesn't work out. Gamble can also be a back-up half in case of injury or use him as a utility player on the bench.

if you believe the guys on NRL 360 (and i'm skeptical since it was from Hooper) Dufty is a backup option should we not be able to signs Hynes

I would rather Dufty over Hynes but tbh I'd rather keep Isaako there and bring Gags back. **** Arthurs and Copley off (not that they'd be on much) and give a couple of outside backs from Q Cup a contract for depth. Maybe have a look at Tupou as well.

1. Isaako
2. Oates
3. Gagai
4. Farnworth
5. Tupou

Height, speed, flair, and good meters coming out of our back end with Tupou and Oates.

700k for Dufty? You think a non representative fullback who's club wants no part of re-signing him is worth similar to what we just paid Reynolds?

Curious to see where 700k comes from?

I would much rather Hammer over Dufty if we are going that way. I think Hammer offers everything Dufty does but has more size AND will be really cheap. Plus, if Farnworth or Isaako play the house down in pre-season next year, I'd love to put Hammer on Coates' wing.

I don’t think he can backflip. Isn’t there a rule in place that a club can’t announce a signing from a rival club until after the 10 day cooling off period. With the broncs making an official announcement today that would suggest that he signed the contract and the cooling off period has expired

I’d rather persist with with what we’ve got than Dufty. If we can’t get Hynes, I’d either stick with Isaako or try Herbie there. I wouldn’t mind seeing Isaako being tried at right centre, he’d be deadly there in attack with that right foot step of his.

Good established fullbacks are hard to come by and don't come cheap. His best days are ahead of him at age 25, AR's best days are long gone at an ageing 31 year old this year. He played himself back into form and he's the best player at the Dragons at the moment. Dragons, Warriors, Titans are all after him, so 700k is a fair price. If you can get him cheaper, even better.

Yeah the Hammer would be a superb cheapie with heaps of upside potential. He should be attainable if you promise him the FB position with a bit of extra money. Wish they swapped Dearden for the Hammer this year.
