Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2021

The fact is that Su'a has never had a high work rate.. He needs to fix the reasons for that. He hangs back all game and just looks for a good shot to put on someone and thinks that's his job. He needs to be making more runs and more tackles if he wants to be an elite backrower.
If anyone disagrees, just watch him and compare to how busy Crichton is for the Roosters. A player doing all the dirty work is exactly what this team needs.

Remember the days when we had Gillett and Parker in the side, seems like a lifetime ago.

They take Hynes, we take Kodi back. Hes only on 400 or so. Offer him 2 years with an extra in the clubs favour if hes playing well. Hes 28 Next year and would have 3 good years in him.

Yeah nah mate... I love kodi but no. The warriors definitely aren’t getting him just cause they offered between 0-100k more. Nobody who is Aussie or desperate to play first grade is going to go the Warriors. As long as Covid is a thing why would you go there, they really have the short end of the stick. He’s in such high demand that he doesn’t have to go there. Without a doubt he is not going to the warriors with all the depth they have in both the halves and fullback. To me the only suitors that have a chance is us and the Sharks and I’m only counting the sharks cause their is a beach involved otherwise who the hell would want to go to that shithole where living costs are through the roof and you spend half your day in traffic. Really it’s play for the Broncos at a reasonable price and be in a team where your not relied upon to do everything like he will at the sharks, he gets to live a much cheaper lifestyle the 1 or ) spot would be his at the click of a finger, he’s getting paid well, he’s got some mates already there and he actually has a shot at accomplishing something with the vastly improved team list we have generated for the coming season

Gee you guys that never leave QLD really overestimate the traffic issues in Sydney.

Not at all, Sydney is a shit hole for driving around, everytime I go back to Brisbane it feels like driving in a country town(Apart from that M1 shitfuck near goldy).

It’s really not that bad out side of peak hour and even then it’s pretty tolerable. Plus most who live in Sydney exist within their own suburb bubbles and aren’t required to travel through the problem areas that often.

Footy players would avoid peak hour and only need to travel short distances to training in most cases. Really wouldn’t impact Hynes at all except he’d be an hour and half away from Umina and have easy access to pretty great beaches.

Mate honestly beaches are irrelevant to any normal thinking footy player when it comes to career choices, and stop getting so worked up that we said traffic is shit in Sydney, it's well known.

I’m not worked up, I just laugh at the Brisbane arrogance in here sometime. Traffic really isn’t that bad that it’s worth being an extra 11 hours from your hometown to avoid.

It completely depends on where in Sydney your going to base yourself though, but he is in Melbourne don't think thats much of a difference, biggest difference is obviously going to be cost of living which is much higher.

You can't tell me weekend traffic here isn't fucked though, in some cases it can be worse then peak hour because everyone is driving around all day.

Yep, I'd take him back as he'd be subsidised for at least year one by the Warriors and he would compliment Reynolds well. Plus, if Staggs does work out at 6, he's the perfect 14. I have also always thought Kodi would make a really good fullback.

Pretty weird that a majority of people would be biased towards Brisbane on a Brisbane Broncos fan forum.
For sure, but to think traffic is a big enough reason to be the difference between Brisbane and another club to a 24 year old just makes me laugh is all. In the same post the guy flobbed off living next to beautiful beaches as not being relevant (despite Hynes being an avid surfer and growing up on the coast) but an extra 15 minutes drive to training is meant to be a big deal.

I’m not mad, I just see this argument on here often and I find it funny.

Kodi has just signed an extension. Agree would love him back alongside Reynolds

Firstly nobody is talking about the 15 minute drive to training, players have fucken lives apart from training and for it to be a 50 minute drive to the cbd and similar to other areas of Sydney that’s really not ideal or impressive. Also by no fucken means is a beach going to influence his decision that greatly especially if it’s between sharks and the bronx when it’s an hours drive on the highway to get to far better waves at the Gold Coast. Also add on the fact that the location he is at has no beach and he has stated he would love to stay if he was to get a spine spot so really the beach isn’t that big of a deal for him clearly

Yes and the famously non-existent Melbourne traffic. Why would he need to go to the CBD? The shire has as much in it as Brisbane does.

Apparently Hynes is basically a done deal at the sharks. Broncos miss another one.
