I feel like I say this every week but Dearden really is not ready for first grade. He has one of the worst kicking games I’ve ever seen. Midfield bombs that go 10m, non-stop kicks into defenders legs, field position kicks that barely go 25m

Best hooker how? He let in a soft try in the middle of the ruck, good hookers can't do that, you can have the attacking ability of Cameron Smith but if you can't make those tackles you won't make it in any NRL side

So is it your opinion that Turpin has played better this year than Levi has the last couple of weeks?

Neither right now. He consistently passes too early before line and offers nothing to those outside him.

Sure. Levi is not elite and definitely not an elite defensive hooker. That doesn’t mean he isn’t the current best hooker in our squad. That’s the issue.

I'd have been happy with Moose back for 12 months on a subsidised contract. According to reports, Kevvie wants good players who are good citizens, yet he is constantly praising Haas to the hilt despite the fact he's done things off the field way worse than Moose. I thinks its a great stance by the club to basically have a no dickheads policy, but i feel we have some double standards because our best player happens to have been a magnet for trouble.

Nope, not at all, but what i said is an absolute fact. If he wasnt a Bronco plenty on here would be saying the same thing as i have about him. His behaviour towards the police was absolutely disgusting. Been in trouble 3 out of his 4 years as an NRL player. If his name was Rhys Kennedy i doubt this would even be a conversation. If its true what Kevvie is saying, then all the players had better keep their noses clean from now on, especially the repeat offenders.

Yep Haas is a DH and a definite double standard by the club, same with Fifita, playing well does wonders for your character it seems.

He really isn't. Most of this forum has a 2 week memory, next week when Levi misses some more weak tackles people will be asking when Turpin is due back.

The real question should be, why can't Kevvie use both Turpin and Levi's strengths in combination, instead of just playing 1 of them for 80 instead of 50/30.

Police incident, fair enough but there is reasonable circumstances. Let's not pretend someone's disabled brother who was his best mate, who he was named after, dying, wouldn't cause someone to act out of character. It wasn't right, but dude, he's a 20 year old man who just lost someone, was sorrow drinking, was then confronted by police, and reacted in a way I'm sure he regrets.

The other was the bali incident, which he was not involved in, Fifita being a dickhead and him being next to him doesn't mean anything, and even in that case, Fifita basically tapped a guy's hat, yeah bit of a douche move but hardly crime of the century and being guilty by association is a bit lame innit?

The other was not willing to snitch his family in to the NRL integrity unit for a fight his family was involved in, but not him. Good on him, the NRL integrity unit were overstepping. I'd be willing to bet most people here would tell their employer to get fucked if they were asked the same thing.

I'm not trying to downplay that he has been in trouble, but just repeating that he's a troublemaker doesn't make it true. Sure if he gets involved in more shit, I'll join your side but there's no way Kevin is being a hypocrite by praising him.

If Levi played all the games this year then you could make the case he's better.
Levi has been lucky in the sense he has come in when the team is going alot better specially with gamble going so well and has made the team his own in recent weeks.
Turpins job wasn't made easier with Deardon, Croft, Milford running the team most the year.
If we could get a rotation going for next year of Turpin starting and bring a second attacking hooker on after say 20-30 and have Turpin shift into a 13 role for his defence would be affective

What's the issue?

A lot of captains swear at their players. Most of ours did. I remember Locky absolutely blasting Hunt once for taking a chance on a ball going dead which nearly resulted in the opposition scoring and snatching the victory from right under our feet. Only reason they didn't is because they knocked on.

Hodgo swore at his players, Hoffman and Maranta being the main culprits.

I've even seen Langer and Kevvie swear at their players.

I would take Gutho in a heartbeat if he wasn't demanding so much money.

Didn't actually think of him in Bali, but he didn't really do much there anyway. He had the incident where he got his learner licence suspended, then he got caught using his phone in the car while driving unlicensed without another driver in the car iirc.



I think the police incident was pretty bad tbh and while I think it's tragic to lose your brother ( and I lost mine as well so ) I don't think it's an excuse to go as over the top as he did.

I honestly think his driving one was the height of stupidity but it could have had huge consequences. I sympathises a little with him with the integrity commission incident, his family threw him under the bus I believe with that one, but my main point is its not a great look when a kid in first grade for 4 years has had 3 incidents and was around a 4th.

I still think he has shown he seems to attract trouble for one reason or another and if he wasn't as good as he is I think we would have punted him after the police incident. If he has another incident and we are fair dinkum about things, we probably have to get rid of him.
