What a bizarre thing to say. I wouldn't say this to any footballers face because they could destroy me and also how fucking weird and creepy would that be.

Instead of one off the ruck getting smashed go a few passes wider with the outside backs as most teams will bunch up to get numbers in the tackle and you'd catch someone who was lazy in the kick chase out wider. So instead of having our pack have to turn around and run back to their own goal line while our weak outside backs are getting smashed, you could slow the PTB completely, give your forwards time to amble back (taking a breather as they go) and get ready to come charging onto the ball for a hit up into a defensive line which is forced to be onside at the tap. That's preferable to me than a set defensive line coming up fast together (often WAY offside) smashing our poor outside backs while our forwards are constantly gassed from being turned around by long kicks.
You'd essentially nullify the strengths of an opposing team with an elite long kicking game, while covering our weakness in having no strong ball-carrying outside backs. If you had a team with 2 strong, big wingers who could take pressure off the forwards by taking effective hit-ups then obviously you wouldn't have to employ this tactic, but as it stands, this is a classic example of thinking outside the box to cover a deficiency in our team. It's not as simple as 'fast PTB = good, slow PTB = bad' anymore, and the first teams to figure that out will benefit greatly.
I was impressed by him the other night, raw but huge potential.View attachment 14685not normally a fan of these telstra tracker things but the kid Cobbos got some wheels.. heard he's the quickest at the club over 40m. Develop this kid right and he will be a star
I dunno if Bullemor will be a gun player in the future, but things certainly seem to happen around him in attack, so I wish the Broncos would stick with him a bit longer and see how it goes.Floggo is reporting Alex Glenn will retire at the end of season and manly have offered Bullemor a 3 year Deal.

Captured my reaction exactly. Going to be upset if Bullemor is lost to Manly of all teams. As if their forward pack isn’t stacked enough.

He was never getting another season with the Broncos. The preseason testimonial should've been hint enough.Old mate Pete is saying Glenn is retiring. News corp "understands" Glenn has called it quits and there will be a press conference Thursday morning to announce it officially and a bunch of recycled quotes thrown in for good measure.
according to McHunt (Badel) the we are launching a "shock" plan to bring Walsh back home.
Kevvie says:
“We never wanted to lose Reece,” Walters said ahead of Walsh’s maiden showdown with the Broncos at Suncorp.
“We are a Queensland-based club and I had high hopes for Reece to play for the Broncos.
“I wished Reece all the best at the Warriors. He has been playing some good footy for them, which I expected him to do, but he’s only young.
“I’m not sure what will happen down the track, but Reece is always welcome back here, certainly.”
Craig Hodges (Warriors assistant says)
“The Broncos would be mad not to have a crack at Reece and there will always be the family connection to come home to Brisbane,” he said.
“But if he feels valued with what we are doing, there might be no reason for Reece to leave.
“It might not be as simple as Brisbane wanting him back, so they’ll get him back.
“I guess a bit of that will come down to the type of club we are building at the Warriors and whether he feels he wants to be a part of that.
“If we travel on the path I’m expecting us to go on as a club in the coming years, it might be too exciting for Reece to leave.”
Hate to piss on the party, but Ponga is NEVER coming back to Brisbane to play for the Broncos. He's either swapping codes to join the All Blacks or captaining the second Brisbane team.Ponga would be a huge get for Brissy and they will go all in for him, they just won't play it in the media I hope as happened a lot under the previous regime.
Only re-signed Bullemor in January. Why would you punt him & sign Jensen!
