Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2021

Carrigan reminds me of a commodore; tried and true. Nothing flash, but reliable and relatively cheap.

Andrew Johns said around the Seibold time that we may need to offload a star forward to bring balance to the backs. We didn't do that and it came home to roost. Ikin, Walters, and DD are not Nolan, White, and Seibold. Got to trust in the process. TPJ and Lodge look like good decisions at the moment...

I do too.

But his name is way too challenging to remember. Have already, and will definitely need to, refer to him as Mo.

Whenever I read his last name, foot ache always comes to mind.

Maybe that could be his nickname.

Don't tell me Petey B couldn't get quotes from Brown or Reece!!!

Didn't they already run this story a few weeks back when Reecey boy was going to make his origin debut for a desperate Paul Green?

Yes but worth a read.

Haas wouldn't be doing it alone. To me, Bullemor has shown the skills to produce at a decent level (maybe not as high as Carrigan), but also offer another attacking dimension in the middle of the field which we currently lack.

Right now, the middle of the field for us is just barge-and-ram, run up the middle, basic football. Wouldn't it be nice to have an attacking weapon in the middle? ESPECIALLY if Paix or some other 9 starts creating opportunities around the ruck?
And then you would stifle his ability to be a game breaker

He He! Yeah, got your drift and agree to a point.

Thing is, as a club, we fucked up big time and need to learn going forward. In all reality, can’t happen again.

After reading I understand Kevin was left wanting and perhaps if Dave and Ben were involved and perhaps if his son wasn’t we may well have a generational player on board, coming from our own stock would be a plus.

Instead we appear to be attempting to create a side with 'seconds' after letting go the big bucks players.

Had to happen.

Hope they’re smart enough, NOW, to pick the right ones.

Don’t for a minute disagree with this program, but in al honesty - just don’t know if Kevin is the man to deliver it.
I'm still filthy that we let Reece go... and I'm not all that impressed with what our likely roster and cap position will be next year.

However, we already know the story due to posters on this forum.... so I don't need to hear Petey B sensationalise some BS story that he's copied and pasted from 3 months ago when he first ran the story.

Petey B is still trying to understand the original story, don't you know?

People putting down Carrigan, are people that watch footy with one eye closed. Players like Carrigan are so important. He will grow into a great club man and most likely a great captain for this club.

can't agree more. Heart and soul still young and will be the cornerstone if the club. As he develops the errors will go and he will be consistently one of our best week in week out. Not going to be a mercenary. will lead the standards on and off the field.

He will need to improve his PCM , his passing and his tackling to be consistently one of our best week in week out. .
None of which are currently elite . Possible , but not probable based on what we have seen the past cpl of seasons . Also ran . Never a star IMO .
