Why you would do that knowing you need more cardio to be a #1 I don`t know . Maybe he wants to play 6 ?

Thing I always come back to with Tesi . Seibold reckoned he was the best athlete he had ever seen . That is something , even coming from Siebold . Keeps me optimistic .

Jamayne looked pretty sexy in his shirt too. Somehow didn't translate to the field.

I wonder if Mariner might take over from Oates if Corey isn’t retained. Though I really hope Corey is retained, love the guy.

I think this could be possible if Oates is not retained. Pereira wouldn't be a bad replacement at all. There's also Arthars coming back next year which I'm not overly thrilled about.. He's okay though. Farnworth also an option to replace Oates on the wing. Quai-Ward and Hoeter are smokies.

Could go any way. Bronx seem to have really high thoughts on Pereira but. I reckon it would be Jordan. Although I don’t reckon Corey will jump ship yet. I’d say Dolphins are our only competitor cause he is very much in the media scene up here and I doubt he’d risk that by moving.

Maybe missing out on Walsh will motivate Dolphins to poach one of ours. Oates seems the most likely.. Maybe Dolphins pay "overs" to get him. Much more chance of winning a comp with the Broncos in the coming years though... That's what Herbie and Oates should be considering IMO

Yep I think all of that is definitely possible except Arthars, I'm fairly sure he will be staying with the Warriors and part of whatever deal is happening for Walsh.

Personally I think Oates stays and Mariner becomes next man up when there are backline injuries. He will replace Herbie if/when he leaves.

Yeah this is my hope too. I really want to keep Oatesy because as you highlight above, without him, we lack experience in the backline. Herbie is playing like a seasoned vet now but all the other guys there including Staggs blow hot and cold, including Walsh.

I think where possible, guys should play minimum 20 q cup games before being picked for first grade (consistently). Mam got to 18 which is pretty good. Mariner is on 6 so should cross that mark early next season.

What an ugly list. Only 2 or 3 of those guys are worth keeping.

Mairner doesn't provide what Oates can with physicality. Mairner this year has run freely but when it's been a slog he struggles for impact. Oates is still very important. When Mairner has been on the wing his returns don't hurt anyone.

What Mariner does have is the biggest legs ever, so I am hoping in the next 12 months he will learn how to use them more!
