Round 13 cooling off period was scrapped. It's 10 days now. Teams can't announce a signing for 10 days unless the player signs a waiver that cancels out the cooling off period.

A lot of players just sign the waiver.

If Korisau is unreachable, Simpkin on a decent deal is the next best option. He can start with Walters on the bench and Paix can fight to get into the side from reserves (Good luck buddy, you've got sonny bill to contend with). He might be struggling to break the Tigers 17 but that footy side is operated by numpties. He's still a better option @ 9 than anything we have on hand.

Hopefully, they make all the right moves us fanatics are screaming about from changes to coaching department to certain players being chopped off etc., etc.

Nothing more I would cherish this off season if DD & Ikin acts swiftly but astutely.

He is happy and signed up for another two years and re-signed when he had two years left. I don’t think he wants out.

That's true for damn near every signing for every club.

I can't recall the last time I saw any club make announce a signing that hadn't been reported in the media somewhere first

It was unexpected ... but the media were talking about it before DD and Kevvie even flew to Sydney to talk to ARey and his family

There are no secrets in rugby league, but it’s naive to think the couriermail don’t have a direct line to the broncos, Ikin & Donaghy don’t change that.

There was nothing. No hints, nothing.

It just popped up on Twitter when Badel announced it. That's why everyone is shocked, because there was nothing to suggest he was even being looked at.

His team were actively looking at all options and my info was that he was certain to sign at Panthers. I'd say hes sick of playing second fiddle and is backing himself to a future full time starting spot.
