Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2023

My list is DEFINITELY debatable, I don't even know I completely agree with some of them either but I've sort of put players there who didn't improve after leaving, ones like Joffa I don't think have played origin since leaving for example but again, very very debatable.

In relation to your post though, who uses try scoring as the SOLE metric of a player, especially forwards?

Nah, it tracks. Pat's never scored and he's clearly shithouse.

Scoring tries is the object of the game.
QED

What do you make of these guys who didn't score a try last year?
Carrigan
Flegler
Collins
McLean
Finucane
Fotuaika
K Hetherington
Jensen
Hastings
Utoikamanu

Then there are many more who scored just one try last year.

Are they basically redundant? I can't begin to imagine how sick you must feel that that useless hack Carrigan won origin player of the year.

I made no negative comment on any player. You did.

People thought Bullemor was having a breakout year because he scored a couple of tries for us, he was never mentioned when discussing metres gained or any of that good stuff that forwards are in the team for.

Certainly fooled Manly as well.

Yeh, WTF happened with Bullemor.

Wasn’t he talking about giving league away to go be a banker / actuary or something?

Manly have used him horribly out on the edge. He could be an extremely effective bench middle.

Master coach Seibs will get him going for sure
TBH I always thought Bullemor was extremely overrated.

When you make a name for yourself based on crossing the stripe, as nice as it is to score tries..

You get picked in the forwards because it's your job to make metres, David Fifita is as good a tryscorer as any when it comes to forwards, he's also MIA for large parts when the battle is taking place between the 20 metre lines.

It's not all forwards job to make metres. Plenty of edges and locks can have amazing games and not get close to 100m.

You ask many what their memories are of Ethan Bullemor's best game for us, bet they will tell you it was that time he scored against Penrith
