Season is just longer but each team still plays 24 games. We have 3 bye rounds now with 27 rounds.

I did lol at this line:
No doubt we will get the storm twice, rabbitohs twice, eels, twice, panthers twice, cowboys twice, sharks twice and Roosters twice alternating between thursday and friday nights for the young kids despite requestig sundays every year.. cowboys will get all above just once whilst not leaving qld until 2024 with all saturday night games as they request every year... "fair and just"

Nar, given the broncos tv ratings were down a bit this year, our 2023 draw will look a lot like this :

vs Melbourne
vs Roosters
vs Cowboys
vs Souths
vs Melbourne
vs Melbourne
vs Roosters
vs 17th team of no fixed address
vs Melbourne
vs Cowboys
vs Parramatta
vs Warriors (when all origin players missing)
vs Melbourne
vs Souths
vs Penrith
vs Parramatta
vs Cowboys
vs Melbourne
vs Cowboys
vs Melbourne
vs Titans
vs Roosters
vs Melbourne
vs 17th team address unknown

Far from a challenging opponent but Cobbo looked great at left centre against PNG tonight. I think that’s his position long term.

Would love to see him and Herbie swap next season. Herbie is solid under the highball too. Would take that pressure of Selwyn as his hands went a bit shit toward the end

Vlandys looking for who leaked this as we speak.

Yup, it’s absurd. NSWRL will make sure that we play
1. once against the 7 teams who finished below us
2. twice against 1 trough to 7 finished teams on the ladder yet play once against Raiders &
3. play twice against Dolphins at all cost.
4. Mostly, we get to play majority Thursday games followed by Friday.
5. we would get occasional Sat/Sunday games during Origin or bye rounds.

Now, that’s a fair and the most easiest they reckon they can provide us.
GET FUCKED NSWRL *****!

I like this BUT I wonder how we can convince Herbie to stay here for good especially with Walsh’s arrival this offseason.
I so dearly want to see Herbie remains with us. He’s a must keep for mine.
Also, with the options we have around outside backs, I don’t think I am that keen on Staggs being our right center anymore.

Yeah but regardless of positions, what a back-line:

01 Walsh
02 Oates
04 Farnworth
03 Staggs
05 Cobbo

at some point in the past, the finishing positions would determine who would play each other once/twice the following year.

then for some reason it got changed. as Kent said, it's no longer a "draw" it is now a "TV Schedule"

End of the day you need to be good enough to beat everyone a saloon passage to the finals is ok but really be better and make all possibilities a easy draw.

although given the rate of HIAs, sin bins & suspensions nowadays, we'll probably get about 17 seconds of that backline before it gets reshuffled to :

1. Haas
2. Kennar
3. David Stagg
4. Alex Glenn
5. Turpin
