Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2024

Yeah Tommy made some good tackles the other night .
Didn`t do shit with the ball . Teams know he will try and dummy and run , easy to plan for .

Yeah it worked for the Bulldogs last weekend .
Until the last 5 minutes when Tommy did his show and go and ran the length .

They say that`s the definition of great . You know it`s coming but can`t stop it anyways .

Do you think we would have any interest?

He's just starred for Qld and been named in the Australian Schoolboys and won a Meninga Title with Tweed. If he wins Langer Trophy this year with Keebra he's got the sweep.

Pretty sure Cowboys are happy with their purchase.

Brisbane just need to make sure they're signing the right guys and they develop them properly. There is loads of talented kids to sign but we must be an attractive option for them and pick the right ones to be interested in also.

Plus if kids come to us, they get hyped up delux which helps with options later.

Id like to see them recruit and develop guys based on position not finding the best athlete and turning them into what they need.
They come into first grade with a body of a backrower but not the footy IQ of one for example.

This was @Big Pete 's point a little while back and it has merit, that's for sure. We have no trouble producing superstars but are not so great at producing just the solid first graders as well. It would be nice to do both.

Tristan Sailor has reportedly signed with St Helens

Well they've looked on their way down this year so he should help speed up that process for them.

He's the type of player that will likely carve up in the ESL.

the other report is that Lee Briers is likely going to be an assistant at St Helens

Sailor leaving gives us an extra roster spot. Won’t have much $$ to use though

Melbourne might offload NAS while covering some of his wage to make room for Utoikamanu.

Thoughts? If he doesn't demand the kitchen sink, he would be some great experience to bring on to the bench and to mentor the young blokes.

14. Mozer
15. Willison
16. Hetherington/Oates
17. NAS

I can't see Melbourne covering enough of his salary to make him affordable (given he is reportedly on over 800k a season) ... I'm also wary of players who Melbourne want gone
