Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2025

Positions we need to recruit in to not be shit house.

Second row, we need more than 2 NRL level players..... Closer to more than 1.

Backs, Cobbo????, Oates?, the rest are all the same shape n size aka smallish, note enough meters.

Fullback, decent back up for Walsh with Sailor gone. Cobbo????.

Hooker, maybe more required, 5 isn't enough. 30% of our squad should be 9's with no utility value.

Saw this.
I would love walker coming.
Doesn't fix our defence issues but a huge fan

I seen Walsh say he could get plenty of offers from other clubs. Tbh our clubs attitude has completely gone and unless we fix this, nothing will change. He should take under 1 million because he's brought nothing to the club, either think of the club or let him walk.

We could have Sam Walker, Lockyer, Langer and Lazarus but in todays game, it wouldn’t make a difference without structure to fall back on

We have a big off season ahead to sort some very basic issues, or we will be right where we are now, this time next year. No matter what players we have in the squad.

Why do they not see it.

He deserves his pay bump. He is extremely marketable to the club and one our best players week in week out. He could get plenty of offers from other clubs but he won't because he wants to be near his daughter. If Walsh was all about the money as you make him out to be, he would be a dolphin not a broncos player right now. He chose to come back to the club.

Would rather not blow our cap on one player just because he’s marketable. I’m sure a winning team would be just as marketable.

Id rather have a crack at someone like Walsh who is a generational talent with the right system (as shown last year). We have been craving an NRL superstar for a long time and finally have one and now people are like yeah **** it, let him walk if he wants a mill. Its not like Walsh isn't performing to match that pay packet in a badly out of form team. He can be the new Lockyer of this team in regards to NRL treatment on this current trajectory.

What has Walsh done for the team exactly to deserve any kind of pay pump. The team is almost bottom of the ladder and he isn't consistent at all. I would rather a player who would take unders and think about the team, not just about themselves.

he could have nominate the Phins. he didn't ... and it's not like it was a secret how much the Phins would have paid to land him

At the time they would have taken any big name rep spine player, Walsh would have been absolutely perfect for them.

Ex-Bronco, very marketable.

Why has this not already been rectified? Why did it need to get to this point?

It’s crazy how he manages to be our best player and our worst player in the same game. He super marketable but we need the salary to come down if we want to build a premiership winning team around him.

The coach either thinks there is nothing wrong (which he has said during press conferences - we are training so well!) despite the results or simply doesn’t know how to fix it (contradicting himself, as he has also admitted such during press conferences).

The entire gameplan being “throw it to Walsh” is entirely on the coach. He is responsible for our style of football, the structures we are supposed to have and ultimately our results.

At this point, I’d not be adverse to a full football department review being conducted In the off-season. Coaching, current squad, recruitment, everything.

Bring Gould in if necessary, but some professionalism rather than “passion” is urgently required.
